I originally saw a recent YouTube video outside of the mall showing this. This is near the former modells. I took this, this afternoon
Shot with my Nikon D5600. No issues. Others had DSLRS/phones out
Hi all, I know Exton Square closes tomorrow and I’m traveling 2 hours. Should I be good to take my Nikon dslr? I don’t want to drive all the way there and be told to not take pictures
A 2 in 1 question. I wonder if this mall wouldve stayed open if the pipes didn’t burst. I
It went through a few non hvac winters/summers anyway. Also I traveled 30 minutes from the other side of Essex county to visit
Montgomery Mall had working a/c. Closed stores but a working glass elevator which is rare to see in dead malls. I didn’t take pictures of the food court since a guard was there. One operating business & one of the menus of an eatery was so abandoned the menu was nearly faded out.
Neshaminy Mall was weird. I entered through the AMC area but a random plywood barrier separated the theatre and main mall. You go through a random abandoned corridor then out the other side. Nothing appeared open besides Barnes and noble and boscovs, a few kiosks. No a/c. Going into Barnes and Noble and looking out at the mall was very similar to Livingston Mall. Just a corpse. Based on the interior, it was really nice and reminded me of Hamilton Mall.
Wildest part is the food is left on the tables.
Took a few photos Thursday Night. There is police patrolling the lot for people breaking in. If you’re in the area and interested in long exposure/nighttime shots of Sears or Livingston Mall, I would definitely recommend staying a bit back from the mall.
I went to attempt to find the abandoned interchange in Chatham overlooking Route 24. The trail was very muddy and had lots of thorn bushes. I tried going the direction of where the interchange was but lost sight of the trail and ended up hitting dead ends. Ended up with a lot of cuts to my legs and arms + clothes. I wouldn’t do this again but I did capture a few interesting photos.
There were a few TikTok’s and on this subreddit of the Livingston Mall a month after it closed inside showing the deterioration. They must really be securing the place now. It was cool seeing the posts
This one is very interesting since Ireland is very genetically similar to the UK. However my results show zero Irish ancestry. Irish is the number one guess for phenotype with a bit of Polish as the second guessed
Macys final day is tomorrow Sunday April 26th. I have to say, this was more fun photographing than the main mall in its final days.
