Shadow Weaver and Regina from *Once Upon a Time*

Shadow Weaver and Regina from *Once Upon a Time*

Actually, I've noticed that SW reminds me a lot of the Evil Queen from *Once Upon a Time*, or possibly her mother—it depends on how you look at the whole story… Alternatively, you could say that Catra is Regina, and Kora is SW

Burning Empires and Annihilation

I don't know if this is the right sub, but I can't find the right one.

I'm finishing the second volume and wondering how much the book reminds me of the movie Annihilation? Especially the theme of living organisms merging.

[general] So, I'm starting a TTRPGA session on the forum, Fading Suns, loosely inspired by Gideon the Ninth.

It's supposed to tell the story of a quest for an ancient Ur treasure, accessible to members of several families and the emperor, who possess special rings... But along the way, strange things start to happen... Everything takes place on Planet Nowhere. I'll be bringing over a few characters from the book, but not all of them, of course...

Fading Suns is a TTRPG system set in the fifth Millennium, during the end of the new Dark Ages. It tells the story of aristocrats, a priests, a members of the Merchant League, and aliens searching for ancient secrets and battling the darkness from between the stars.

Since I'm running a ttrpg game where the Avatar world is part of the Cosmere, how do you think these two would react to each other?

Although the session takes place when both are more or less dead, it's still an interesting question.

Is Warhammer fantasy roleplay so idealized in the West?

Hello! I'm Polish, and in our country, the most popular RPG system has always been Warhammer Fantasy, especially the first edition, mainly because it was the first system most people experienced.

This has always led to conflict between fans and fans of other systems. For a very long time, they first fought DnD 3.0/3.5 fans, and then the second edition fans, who were, incidentally, called DnD-like.

To tell the truth, this admiration has always been completely incomprehensible to me. Especially when it comes to the first edition. Maybe because my first system included Werewolf: the Apocalipse, and then Earthdawn and Fading Suns.

The system is so popular in Poland because it's hard to play anything else. So I recently coined a saying: to hate Warhammer, you just have to dislike it.

I'm looking for a WLW book

With a romance between a princess and a female knight.

It doesn't have to be very erotic. But let there be some action during the book's plot.

It would be nice if it were in Polish, but that's not that important!

She-Ra and Mass Effect

I'm currently watching the final gameplay of Mass Effect 2 and I'm wondering if the world of She-Ra and Mass Effect 2 were in the same universe.

I've heard Horde-Prime compared to Reapers before, and I have to admit, you have a bit of Harbinger in you... Has anyone ever done a crossover like that?

Entrapta and the Geth would definitely have some interesting discussions.

The Assari would bother Catra...

Princess of Nothingness: She-Ra/Starfinder Fanfic

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post this here. If I made a mistake, I apologize, but I'd like to link to my fanfic.

https://archiveofourown.org/works/43533900/chapters/109453170

It takes place five years after the end of the series. In it, I try to answer some questions left in the open-source material and also want to expand on certain threads. Among other things, I focus on the Redemption Arc Shadow Weaver, Catra's relationship with her family, and the struggles of rebuilding the post-war world.

A Few Thoughts on a TTRPG Forum Session in the Mistborn Universe Using the Fae System

Following a recent thread on this Reddit, I'm hosting a Second Era Mistborn session for a friend on the forum, specifically a session after the Lost Metal. This session also references some threads we started a long time ago in Fullmetal Alchemist and Avatar sessions. My player character is Stacey Newman, a Soother and a Brute. Basically, she and her family are a mirror image of the player's character's family from the Alchemist session, with Stacey and her sister Stephanie being Stanisław and Stefan Nowicki in the old session, residents of a pseudo-Polish village. I don't know how to narratively justify the mirror images of several people in this world, but I'll figure it out. The Newman family is a nouveau riche family that became rich mining aluminum and rare minerals in Rough and recently moved to Elendell. Stacey wants to be perceived as a well-behaved lady, but it's quite difficult for her to become part of this society because she's shunned by the wealthy aristocratic elite.

At the beginning of the session, after a family dinner, she went to meet her boyfriend. This ended in a rather difficult and unpleasant breakup. Immediately afterward, she met a very strange Mistborn, unstable and talking about Fused. There was also a disturbing resemblance to Vin, whose statue stood nearby (don't worry, Vin didn't rise from the dead, at least not any more than Caleb did in the Owl House). Together with her sister, who is Leech, she managed to identify the strange person and decided to take her to the police station. Where they encountered Marasi... She was due to retire from the force in a few days and had a new partner, a strange golden-haired man with golden skin named Gilbrath. Marasi ordered them to hide the girl they found and take her to a safe place.

By the way, the Newman family hired a red-haired assistant named Shan... And Stacey noticed a strange pattern in the house.

I may have a few errors related to the chronology, but not many.

Mistlings with Disability.

I'm running a TTRPG session on the Fae mechanics in the second era, and my player is supposed to meet a deaf street doctor who happens to be Tineye. I'm actually wondering how Allomancy and Feruchemy might play interestingly with different types of disabilities.

I'll say right off the bat that I have a disability myself, but the topic intrigues me.

I've just recently noticed a few interesting things.

On both Roshar and Scadrial, predicting the future is associated with the forces of evil, namely Odium and the Ruins, which is quite interesting.

It amuses me how complex the paentology can be on Scadrial.

Recently, The Wheel of Time volume two, and the scene where the Myrddral was nailed to the door with nails in his eyes, reminded me of our favorite servants of the Ruins.
