We just found out that we can’t choose our number one boy name, George.
We have a long, German last name so we liked that the first name was one syllable/short.
Other names we like are:
Louis
Jesse
Wesley
Reed
Bruce
Patrick
Thoughts between these or other suggestions?
Top of quilt is finished!!! I am due in two weeks….I am debating whether to have this professionally long armed or just power through and do it myself.
I’m so tired 😭 but I do enjoy the quilting part of quilting, ya know?
I also had some unevenness on the edges of the finished blocks. I’m really not sure how it happened. I thought I was being really good with my seam allowances and measurements. I double checked everything. Oh well!
We are getting there, people!!!

Hi quilters! I am cutting the fabric for this cute quilt I want to gift my mother in law, a retiring school librarian.
I am cutting the background fabric now, and I’m baffled at the instructions asking to cut 11/2” by WOF. Is this just 5.5” by WOF? Why is this measurement being used?
Several other pieces require a 11/4” which I figured that’s about 2.75”. I made squares that size for this it seemed correct for the quilt.
Any insight into why the pattern is written this way? Advice welcome!

We are moving into a new house next weekend from a one bedroom apartment!! We are so excited it’s our dream house and I am so ready to finally feel organized and not cramped!
This is what my side of the closet looks like. What is the best way to organize my clothes in here? I am wondering if it’s worth it to install drawers or just fold my clothes and keep them in folded piles….some things can be hung up but not everything.
For reference everything was hung up in my old closet. Thank you for advice!!
