Need help with setting my fallow grind

I have it (technically) set up but there is one area where no matter how far the tent is the animals flee. I thought that it's like 164m is where they stop fleeing but the tent in question is 220m away and they still flee. Any help is appreciated.

I feel like the new level 500 and all these mutations are a big middle finger to all the people who bought merch and spent real money

All these people who spend so much time and money on this game (me specifically) feel like the fact that they make the scorpion that costed $10 a ball is worth like $20 now. Rainbow hatched dilophasaurus, which people spent so much money on those only for them to be worth almost nothing.

Sorry for my rant but I feel as it's well needed rant /s

My friend has a 2 week trip in VA. Later this year and we are going deer and black bear hunting and....

I have a 12 gauge and a 22H to my name and I need a rifle capable of taking those animals clean and efficiently. Thinking of either a .308, 30-06, 6.5cm but I wanted to ask here so I could get answers from REAL people (budget about $700)
