I completed my Challenge (hacking only—see second image)

I started this on standard difficulty, and went to the beginning instead of starting at the cradle, just wanted to test to see how possible this was. and after killing the tutorial bots the results were very promising, they didn’t take too many hacks to take out.

so I just wanted to share my experience on some parts:

general enemies: at first it was a bit tedious at first (especially since my dumbass at first thought decode only applied to weapon damage) but after gaining hacking nodes and leveling up it got easier and easier.

walkers and all the flying bots were easy to deal with for the most part, crushers were tedious but doable, and the bots with the antennas i had to shoot to actually kill them with hacks, I only broke one shield for each tho, and also by the time I got to end game I could kill an executor before it popped them out.

the big corrupted bots were a pain, it’s where I had to use my guns the most, ofc it would be possible to beat them without guns, but I ain’t boutta sit there for 10 thousand years tryna kill a corrupted executor.

Sector Guard: pretty easy boss overall, not much to say as I took him out pretty easily, which makes sense cause he’s the first boss of the game. (the 2nd boss fight later isn’t much harder, I actually found it easier as I was more leveled and he was getting differed by the lightning lol)

The Creator: imma be fr, fuck this motherfucker, this guy was the most tedious boss I’ve ever had to fight, by the time he pulls out the antennas and since I only made myself break one, I was tickling him by the second half, not to mention this man got more health than rykard on ng+7. Took me 4 tries, 4 very very long tries. By the 4th try I choose to take out 2 antennas to give myself the break. Overall I did not like fighting this boss.

Garden keeper: wasn’t as tedious as The Creator but definitely more annoying, I did beat him first try which was something, felt easier than tryna shoot him in my first play though. His tail swipes felt personal tho, but overall I fine boss.

LunaDigger: I expected this to be harder, but it was just a bit tedious, his bots he sends out that you can shoot back at him though made it less tedious. a good bossfight, my only grievance is that when a boss or any enemy goes down to be given a critical shot, they can still be hacked to do damage however with Luna digger that’s not the case.

with Luna digger i had to wait for him to get up cause for some reason I couldn’t hack him. then at the end you have to do a critical shot to beat him, which is a bit annoying but it doesn’t. bother me that much. overall great boss.

lunar centurion prime: for being the 2nd last boss of the game I expected more but this one had not that much health and I beat it relat quickly. I don’t got much to say on this one, it’s alright I guess.

Eight: I expected this to be much harder than it was, as the first time I fought eight on my first play-though she was hard asf. note that I was maxed out by the end game so I was going in with my suit and Diana maxed out as well as all my hacking nodes, but still I expected some more. it got tedious at time yes, but Eight hits like tissue paper tbh so it was somewhat easy to beat her. (makes me wonder if lunatic Eight actually lives up to the hype lol)

general tips: make sure to get Diana maxed out, as well as all your hacking notes, multi hack, decode, and expose are your bff’s use them if you can. also when fighting big groups prioritize the walkers first, leave the flying enemies for last.

anyways that’s my experience, might do this challenge in lunatic if I feel like it.

Eight sucks, here’s why

1: She betrays us: pretty easy point, that snake betrays us after we do her dirty work. Then she tries to kill us multiple times and causes Hugh to “die”: again pretty easy point, she attacks us after we’re done helping her, and ends up killing my BOY leading to both Hugh and Diana not being together. (And yes I know he might be alive due to the secret ending but still).

2: tried to destroy the earth: nearly killed off all life on the planet because she misread what the doctor wanted in his final wishes, he wanted her to essentially speak on the injustice of Delphi, but somehow she interpreted that as “destroy earth”. Eight is very smart, that much is clear so tell me why the hell she so badly misinterpreted his final wish? Even if he hinted at destroying the earth, she’d realize that this man is not in a stable mental condition SHE EVEN MENTIONS THIS RIGHT BEFORE HE DIES, so she has no excuse.

3: she is a psychopath: Diana shows emotion obviously, this isn’t something she learned to do, she was obviously programmed that way, so Eight, the successor to Diana aka seven, should show emotion as well, but instead she’s just straight up psychopathic. She shows no remorse in trying to kill us after we help her, she shows zero emotion after the doctor dies, and she barely showed any real emotion when we first met her (from our first meeting I knew she was on some bullshit). She deemed Diana “useless” after she watches her try to defend Hugh, the person who in this situation in her mind you are attacking for NO REASON, so she tries to kill her, even though she said they were like sisters.

4: she’s a dumbass: there’s the part of her “fulfilling his purpose” that can be argued, but I’d argued as the reason for her actions, but I’d argue that she’s just being stupid with the misinterpretation of his last wish, she clearly shows zero understanding of it, even if that’s what he wanted she should be smart enough to know that it’s logistically and ethically a bad idea, yet she decides to do it anyways? And what was the plan after? What the fuck was she gonna do after killing off the planet? Also, if your gonna try to kill both Hugh and Diana, YOU COULD TRY HARDER like you could’ve easily ambushed Hugh and Diana at the base with like 50 baby looking bots and stuff, but decide to only send 1 big sword bot assuming that was gonna work, when they’ve clearly shown to take on much larger and deadlier threats. Heck you could’ve even done it earlier than that and when they fell MADE SURE THEY WERE DEAD INSTEAD OF GUESSING.

Overall she reminds me of Micah bell, except he’s actually a smart psychopath unlike this CLANKER

so yeah all my homies hate Eight

I’m starting a challenge for myself (read description)

I just beat the game yesterday so i wanna reward myself by forcing myself to do an insane challenge

imma beat Pragmata with only hacking

i don't mean a hacking build, no no, I mean for this challenge run imma only do damage to enemies and bosses with hacking… this is gonna be a pain

as I said I can only do damage hacking, so no weapons, however I will allow myself to use defensive weapons that don’t do damage like the barrier gun.

do y’all got any recommendations for me as to how to approach this?
