Ever since I went into a deep dive about the school I’m attending next month (a lot of mixy reviews ) + the type of material we finna get into the first semester got me soooo overwhelmed. I been looking at TikTok’s about things to know before my first semester and saved some YouTube channels to have as semesters goes by but idk im kinda having second thoughts because I feel like i won’t be good enough for the program , has anyone experience this before their first semester too?

Looking to see if there’s any textbook sites to get free pdf versions of radiology textbooks? The list of textbooks that is needed is wayyy above my price range at the moment. Would truly appreciate the advice or suggestions!

I have orientation for my Radiography program tomorrow, and I’m starting to do some surface level research on modalities I may want to cross-train into. For those already in the field, which modality do you think is most worth cross-training into when considering school/training difficulty, stress level, pay, job opportunities, and work life balance? I’ve been considering mammography, but I’d love to hear about other modalities too and your experiences. What did you cross-train into, and would you choose it again?

How do you guys feel about this new leasing option? It wild to me that Apple decided to pick Klarna as a collaborator especially since there was a whole scheme with klarna few months back with customers doing klarna payments in person with stolen cc info

The fact that people will have to return the device at the end of their payment term also nuts to me too. I wonder if they can shut down the device if people miss their payments

Hey ya, had my first day couple days ago and it went pretty well! I was overhearing management talk about when our induction is. The store I’m working at is a brand new location that’s opening up soon but I wanted to see if anyone knows what’s the term induction means and what will be going on?

Coming from a half way completed MSW with student loans and now beginning this new journey in the fall has me soooo stressed out about student loans. The fact that I’m having to take out (especially private since FASFA only gave me a lil amounts ) more for the radiology program on top of my prior education experience with student loans has me stressing out the future lmao, how does anyone deal with this stress ? I wasn’t expecting to take out so much for my radiology program but then again paying about 2-3k a month out of pocket didn’t seem realistic to me..

Has anyone here ever sued a previous employer over workers’ rights, a hostile work environment, or emotional distress? If so, what was the process like, and was it worth pursuing?

I’m currently working at a “luxury” retail store in NYC, and the environment has become unbearable. I’m trying to figure out if what we’re experiencing is just toxic management or if it’s something that could actually cross into workers’ rights issues.

Some examples of what goes on at work:
-Constant micromanaging to the point where even a 5-hour shift feels mentally exhausting.
-Managers withholding people’s hours until they question why they’re barely being scheduled.
-Putting employees on 30-day “observation periods” to evaluate how they interact with customers, even though it’s a coat store in the middle of summer and customer traffic is obviously slow. At the end of those 30 days, management decides whether to terminate the employee or issue another write-up, which has everyone constantly anxious.
- Managers watching employees through the security cameras throughout the day, making everyone feel uncomfortable.
-Random product knowledge quizzes at 8 a.m. Almost half the store either didn’t finish or got several questions wrong, and management wrote everyone up over it.

There’s honestly a lot more than this. I’ve been keeping detailed notes about conversations, incidents, and the way management speaks to employees, including myself.

Has anyone actually pursued a case against an employer over treatment like this? Did you go through an employment lawyer, the labor board, or another route? Did anything come from it?
I’d appreciate hearing from anyone who’s been through something similar, especially if you’re in NYC or New York State.

I recently got accepted into the Radiology program at CAHE in NYC and I’ll be starting this fall!

I had a question for anyone who’s been through the program (or any radiology program, honestly).
Before I even decided to apply, I had already planned and paid for two trips: Oct. 29 – Nov. 1 and Nov. 13 – Nov. 16.

Now that I’m officially enrolled, I’ve been reading that radiology programs are extremely intense with a heavy workload, lots of studying, and strict attendance policies. I’m starting to worry that traveling during the semester may not be realistic.

I’m also working two part-time jobs because I need a way to pay for school lol… On top of that, I’ll be paying a few thousand dollars each month toward tuition since my financial aid doesn’t cover everything.

For anyone who’s been in a radiology program or is in the midst of it, were you able to travel at all during the semester? Were you able to balance working while in school?
If you had trips planned before starting, what did you do?
Any advice for managing school, work, finances, and life without completely burning out?

I’m a first-generation college student, so this is all pretty new to me, and I’d really appreciate any tips or advice from people who’ve been through it. Thanks in advance!
