WAD recommendation needed

Please recommend some good modern slaughtery wads. The stuff I played recently

Simulacrum - beyond awesome, very much balanced, fair, visually appealing and FUN. One of the best wads I finished so far

Neon Overdrive - another amazing wad. Hard, beautiful and fun to play

Pina Colada - a bit on a quirkier and RNG-dependent side but still very good and interesting

Sleepwalking - excellent visuals and music, non-linear maps with demanding arenas. Absolutely loved it

Eviternity - sorry for my blasphemy, but no. It's a good casual wad I guess but with UV pistol start it turns into a slow boring low resource grind. I broke after a 800+ mob map without a single major arena

Sunder is a bit over the roof for me honestly..

Magnetostatics 2d in mfem follow-up

The problem is simple - just a plain old N35 magnet in air with A=0 Dirichlet bc

I've managed to make it work somehow. The magnetization was defined on a Nedelec element collection and its curl was interpolated onto a DG collection. After that the resulting diffusion equation was solved normally

The original example from mfem uses RT instead of DG and it seems like it's justified for 3d only

Not sure if it's the best(or even the right) way to do that but it kinda works

Checked the results against FEMM 4.2 and it all looks good. I don't like the tiny fluctuation near the magnet boundaries tho

Am I missing something or is it ok?

How did she get this fluff behind her ears?

She's a sweet mid-hair girl from my local shelter. I've never seen anything like that before

Need help with magnetostatics 2d

I'm trying to implement a simple 2d magnetostatic solver in mfem and I'm running into some issues which are not really mfem-related

We have a vector potential formulation which boils down to a Poisson problem in 2d and it's all fine and easy if we don't have any magnets. You can see that on pic2

But with a magnet we get a nasty curl part which gives an imaginary current that replicates the magnet behavior. The current density goes to infinity with the refinement of the mesh and that doesn't work well

How should I approach that? The googling results are inconclusive and the Tesla mfem miniapp is in 3d. They use RT elements(not Nedelec) to discretize the magnetization and I don't understand why

My ginger-lime "beer" says hi!

That's a scale-up of my previous experiment as it ended up with an awesome light drink

-6l water bottle, 1 liter drained to leave some free space

-80g/l white sugar

-1/2 per liter pre-squeezed(for other purposes) small lime. You don't want lime juice in your beer, it's too acidic and sharp for my liking

-10g/l grated fresh ginger

-bread yeast

Boil some water with sugar, ginger and chopped lime for a few minutes, let it cool, pour it back into the big bottle, add some yeast and let it rip

It's ~30C where I live so it takes no more than 4-5 days of fermentation

Here goes the neat part. You bottle it into soft drink bottles which can handle high pressure and prime with ~3 teaspoons of sugar per liter. Squeeze all the air out of the bottle and tighten the cap. It's way over the normal priming amount so keep an eye on the bottles! They will get as firm as well-shaken coke in a day or two and it's time for cold crashing

The "beer" is ready after 24hrs in the fridge

It tastes like fresh lime and ginger with subtle sweetness, distinctive carbonation and barely noticeable ~4 abv
