I built a tool to help office-goers sell Nifty/BankNifty options with actual math instead of guesswork

I have a day job. I also sell monthly Nifty/BN options on the side. For a long time I was picking strikes the same way most people do "1000 points OTM feels safe" with no real basis for it.

So I built a calculator for myself that:

  • Projects an expected range using 365-day historical volatility (SD-based)
  • Cross-checks it against a VIX-implied range
  • Uses a PCR filter
  • Generates a full exit plan

That last part matters most for people with a day job. If you already sell monthly options, I would like to know your process.

I’m exploring a better way to solve apartment parking conflicts and need feedback

Parking conflicts are a surprisingly common issue in apartment societies.

The usual process seems to be:

  1. Someone's car is blocked.
  2. Security gets involved.
  3. Someone searches for the owner's number.
  4. Phone numbers get shared in groups.

I'm exploring a way where a resident can notify the vehicle owner without revealing personal contact details.

Before building this further, I'd like to understand:

  • How does your society currently solve this?
  • What is the biggest frustration?
  • Would residents actually use a privacy-first solution for this?

Honda Amaze - Need help – If I do aqua ceramic coating, will cement particles be removed first?

I need some advice regarding my car paint situation.

My car was parked near an ongoing construction site, and unfortunately a lot of cement splashed onto it. The bonnet, roof, and side doors were affected.

The bonnet and roof damage were covered under insurance, but the side doors were not.

Now the side doors still have cement particles stuck on them. I took the car to a detailing shop, and they suggested doing an aqua ceramic coating. They also mentioned that the dealer has not done ceramic coating earlier, so I may be able to claim it under warranty and get it done for free.

My main question is:

Before applying ceramic coating, do they properly remove/polish the cement particles from the paint? Or is the coating applied over it?

I’m concerned because I don’t want the cement particles to stay trapped under the coating and damage the paint further.

moodyads.com | BIN $1000

MoodyAds.com is available.

Registrar: Namecheap
Expiry: Jan 2027

I picked it up because it's short, memorable, and has a real brand feel to it. Could work for an ad agency, marketing company, media brand, ad-tech startup, or even an AI advertising tool.

If you're building in advertising, marketing, media, or AI, this could be a solid name.

Open to reasonable offers.

DM me if interested.

Help with Credit card optimization

I hold these LTF credit cards and use it for regular expenses like online groceries, fuel, shopping and travel spends.

The annual expense would look like;

Income - 17L [Salaried]

Fuel - 50-60k

Online Grocery - 50k

Shopping/Dining - 50k

Travel - 1-1.5L

Miscellaneous - 1L

How do I make the best use of it.

I am planning to apply for SBI CB and IndusInd Tiger (for lounge access). Scapia for forex spends.

Please share your thoughts. You can drop any other card suggestions too.

I live in Ahmedabad in a residential society with around 500 flats, so there’s a decent built-in customer base.

I also have a full-time job, so I’m looking for business or side hustle ideas that don’t require constant active involvement throughout the day.

I’m curious if anyone has seen or tried small-scale businesses that work well within a housing society setup, something convenient for residents and manageable alongside a job.

Would love to hear practical ideas or even examples you’ve seen work in similar setups, especially in cities like Ahmedabad.
