Looking for advice on engineered hardwood in Raleigh

I’m replacing my solid hardwood floors and have been considering engineered hardwood for the kitchen since it seems like a better fit for moisture, humidity changes, and maybe even radiant heat later on. My budget is around $10/sq ft installed, so I’m trying to stay realistic while still avoiding issues down the road. For those who’ve gone with engineered hardwood, what are the main things I should ask an installer before moving forward? I’d also appreciate hearing about experiences people have had with the installation process or anything you wish you knew beforehand.

Looking for a Reliable Sliding Door Installation Company in the UK

I recently inherited an older house from my parents and I am considering replacing the current front door.

The existing door feels dark and dated, and I would like something more modern that allows more natural light into the entrance area while improving the appearance of the property.

Has anyone used a reliable door installation company in the UK? Any insights would be really helpful.

Any recommendations for the best property management companies in Pomona?

Hey everyone, Just got told by my current property management company that I need to be out by the end of May, so I’ve started the apartment hunt again. I’ve found a few places that fit my budget, but almost every management company I look up has the same red flags, bad communication, random fees, or terrible maintenance reviews. Has anyone here actually had a good experience with a property management company or landlord in Pomona? I’d love to hear who you rent from and how it’s been. I’m mainly looking for a studio or 1-bedroom under $1500, but open to tips on how to find solid listings too. Right now, I’m checking Apartments.com, Zillow, HotPads, and biking around looking for signs. Appreciate any advice, feels like finding a decent place here is becoming a full-time job.

Any recommendations for real estate services in Austin for selling an my family house?

My family has a old house in Austin that belonged to my parents, and we’re trying to figure out the best way to sell it.

It needs some updates, so we’re unsure whether to fix things first, sell as-is, or work with someone who understands older homes in the Austin market.

Does anyone have recommendations for honest real estate agents or companies that give realistic pricing advice and don’t pressure people?

Would also appreciate anything to avoid during the process.

What should I look for when choosing a property management company in Orange County?

I own a few rental properties in Orange County and I’m comparing property management companies. I’m mainly looking for help with tenant communication, maintenance coordination, leasing, rent collection, and day-to-day operations.

For those who have hired a PM company before, what signs helped you identify a reliable one? Are there any red flags, contract terms, or service issues I should watch out for before choosing?

Trying to find a trustworthy STR management company in Austin

I own an STR in Austin and have been self-managing it, but lately I’ve been considering hiring a management company instead.

I’m hoping to find a trustworthy company that handles higher-end properties well, rather than one focused only on high-volume listings.

Has anyone here had a genuinely good or bad experience with a company in Austin? I’d also appreciate any red flags to watch out for before signing with one.

I’m currently looking into options for sourcing French doors for a home project and wanted to ask if anyone here has experience working with different French door suppliers. How do you usually evaluate quality, pricing, and reliability when choosing a supplier, especially for custom sizes or materials like wood or aluminum? Any insights or things to watch out for would be really helpful.

I’ve been thinking about water heater replacement lately because my current unit is over 10 years old and starting to act up. I found some info online that says most heaters last around 8–12 years depending on usage and maintenance.

For those who’ve already gone through a water heater replacement, what were the signs that made you decide it was time, and did you go with tank or tankless?
