2018 Kia Niro PHEV owners how reliable has it been long term?

I have been doing a lot of research on hybrids and phevs lately and I keep coming back to the 2018 kia niro plug in hybrid. I know everyone says the Prius prime and honda clarity are some of the best hybrid vehicles out there, and I respect that but honestly I just don’t love how they look. The niro feels more like something I’d actually enjoy driving every day.

I’m looking for something reliable, good on gas, low maintenance, and something I can keep for a long time. I’ll probably be buying one used with higher miles, so I wanted to hear from actual owners.bHow has the Niro been for you long term? Or any major issues or things I should watch out for?

Thanks.

Honda Clarity PHEV vs Kia Niro PHEV for long term reliability?

I’m currently looking at buying a used Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid or a Kia Niro Plug-In Hybrid and wanted some honest advice from owners.

I’ll probably be buying one with around 70k–100k miles and plan on keeping it long term. My main priorities are reliability, low maintenance, comfort, and good MPG.

For those who have owned either:

  • Which one has been more reliable?
  • Any common problems?
  • Would you buy it again?

Thanks, just trying to make the smartest decision possible.

Hey everyone, I could really use some honest advice.

Me and my ex recently broke up, and now we’re trying to figure out what’s best for our dog. This is really hard for me because I love my dog so much. I honestly love my dog with all my heart and the thought of losing him hurts more than I expected.

My situation is that I work long shifts about 12 hours a day and my ex works shorter shits around 9 hours. They’re saying the dog should go with them because he will have more time during the day

I understand their point, and I’m honestly trying to think about what’s best for the dog not just what I want emotionally.

At the same time I’m willing to figure things out like dog walkers. I’ve been very involved in caring for the dog feeding, spending time, etc.The bond I have with him is really strong

I’m stuck between doing what’s best for the dog’s daily life vs. the fact that I really don’t want to lose him.

For those who’ve been through this or have experience. -Does a 12-hour work schedule automatically make it a bad idea to keep a dog?

  • Is it realistic to make it work with help walker/daycare?
  • Or would it be better for the dog to be with someone who’s home more?

I’d really appreciate honest opinions even if it’s not what I want to hear
