does the bloatware come back after a pc reset if we've done a clean install before? or is every pc reset effectively clean install after we do clean install initially?

I'm sorry if this has been asked before but i looked it up and got conflicting answers. there are also some other small questions: since my laptop is "copilot+ pc" will the ai features come back after a clean install? what about the 3 month game pass that arrived free with the laptop? also, how can i make sure that all the drivers are installed and updated, will the windows updates do the job or will i have to go to the vendor's website to manually install all of them? and lastly, can i use a card reader and micro sd card as a bootable drive for the clean install? any information is appreciated 🙏

new laptop is freezing, suddenly rebooting and more (please help)

i bought lenovo legion 5 gen 10 amd 20~ days ago

specs:

processor: amd Ryzen 7 ai 350

gpu: rtx 5070

ram: 32gb storage: 1tb

since then I've been facing some problems with it. they're as follows:

  1. the laptop freezes and then goes into a sudden reboot unprompted. this is happening basically everyday.

  2. when I'm watching videos the screen suddenly goes black and the mouse stops working but i can still hear the video and the keyboard is still on.

  3. it happened only once but 3-4 days ago when i booted up my device, the screen stayed black while everything else (keyboard, fans) started working. and fans were going crazy too. but then i did the hard reboot by holding down the power button for 5 seconds and the issue was fixed. today, it happened again but this time screen wasn't completely black but only the mouse arrow was visible.

some specific information that maybe relevant:

  1. the laptop has never once had any of these issues while I'm gaming. the only one sudden restart i remember happening relating to gaming was when I was launching Minecraft. almost all other crashes are when I'm watching a local video, using telegram, or other casual stuff, etc (tho I don't remember every crash)

  2. no issues in gaming either, stable fps, stable temperature around 80°c even when the gpu is hitting 100% usage and 115w tdp. I've run 3d mark tests with expected results and played games like the finals, minecraft (voxy lod generator + shaders) and marvel rivals etc for hours without any issues. i have done quick hardware scan in lenovo vantage multiple times with no error or failed test either.

  3. the laptop is always on dgpu only mode

  4. i had installed windows repair version when i initially got the laptop

  5. these issues were happening before the latest GeForce game ready driver 610.62 and after i installed this update the issues are still here.

  6. windows updates is up to date, nvidia driver is up-to-date, and auto update is turned on for all other updates including bios updates in lenovo vantage.

error diagnosis

now I'm not tech savvy nor have i ever used a laptop before but from what i could gather from the internet the reliability monitor, BlueScreenView and event viewer data is important so here are some screen shots. the problem seems to be "nvlddmkm" and "dxgkrnl" and the repeating error code is 117 and 116.

please let me know if this is a hardware issue or some software update issue and if there's a fix. also, should i contact support? is anyone else also facing similar issues on their new laptop?

after a lot of researching into the good laptop models at my budget range, i am basically left with 2 top choices, a 5060 acer predator helios neo16s ai or a 5060 lenovo legion 5. if i were to only listen to the tech youtubers then I'd go with legion, it's the most popular one after all. but after looking into the public feedback of legion 5 laptops created after 2021, there's a common theme of motherboard issues and laptop suddenly dying. people say that it's not just individual faulty units but a core design flaw in the laptop, i don't truly understand the technical jargon but something along the lines of using cheap capacitors and improper balling. i was just wondering if that's true and if it is, then does acer predator helios laptops also have similar issues. i need the laptop to last at least 4 years, so i need to go with the laptops that have the best track record of not having serious issues uncaused by the handling of the laptop. in terms of prize, the acer is bit expensive, and has lot less hardware customisation options than lenovo. should I just not worry and go for the cheaper lenovo legion or put some more money and get acer predator helios neo16s ai? any insight is appreciated 🙏
