Welcome to r/travelsomewhere — Let's Go Somewhere

Hey everyone! 👋🌍

Welcome to r/travelsomewhere.

This is a new community for people who love discovering places, travelling, sharing experiences, asking questions, and finding somewhere new to go.

You don't need to be a professional traveler.

You don't need an expensive camera.

You don't need to have visited 50 countries.

If you've been somewhere interesting, you're planning to go somewhere, or you've simply discovered a place you think people should know about — you're in the right place.

📍 What can you post?

• A place you recently visited
• A hidden or underrated destination
• Your travel photos
• A trip report
• An itinerary
• Budget travel tips
• Weekend getaway ideas
• Food and local experiences
• Travel questions
• Places you would visit again
• Places you wouldn't recommend — and why

🗣️ Most importantly...

Don't just tell us where you went. Tell us what it was actually like.

How much did it cost?

What surprised you?

When should someone visit?

What should they avoid?

Would you go back?

Those details are what make a travel community useful.

👋 Introduce yourself!

Tell us:

Where are you from?
Where have you travelled recently?
Where do you want to go next?

And if you're one of the first members here:

Thank you. You're helping build this from the beginning. ❤️

Let's find somewhere worth going.

Visited Ghorakhal Temple in Uttarakhand — such a peaceful and spiritual place 🙏🌿

I recently visited Ghorakhal Temple in Uttarakhand, and honestly, the atmosphere was something special.
The temple is surrounded by beautiful greenery and mountains, and with all the bells and the peaceful surroundings, there was a really strong spiritual and positive energy.
I wasn’t expecting to feel this calm when I arrived. I spent some time there just taking in the surroundings, and it felt like a nice break from the noise and rush of everyday life.
Sharing one of my pictures from the visit. 🙏
Has anyone else visited Ghorakhal Temple? What was your experience like?
Jai Golu Devta 🙏❤️

Finally visited Neem Karoli Baba Ashram after the heavy rains 🌧️🙏

After watching the heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand over the last couple of days, I honestly wasn’t sure if our trip would happen. We traveled from Haldwani to Kainchi Dham (Neem Karoli Baba Ashram), keeping an eye on the weather and road updates.
By Baba’s grace, we reached safely. The weather was absolutely beautiful—lush green mountains, fresh air, flowing river, and a peaceful atmosphere that made the journey worth every moment.
Sharing one of my favorite pictures from today’s visit. Feeling blessed and grateful. ❤️🙏
If anyone is planning to visit during the monsoon, I’d recommend:
Check road and weather updates before leaving.
Start early in the morning.
Drive carefully, as some stretches can be slippery.
Respect the temple rules and keep the surroundings clean.
Jai Neem Karoli Baba! 🙏

I'll start first. I'll be able to play it for about 9 days straight. I hope I'll gather 100h of gameplay and finish it
