Light primer strikes on my EDC

Decided to change up my EDC, so I took the new one to the range to get the dot zeroed. First magazine in, after the 3rd or 4th shot, I got two light primer strikes back-to-back.

I run the same setup on all my EDC guns which is an extended firing pin, reduced-power firing pin spring, and a 14 lb hammer spring. I’ve never had an issue with this setup before.

This particular gun is pretty old and I picked it up used on GunBroker, so I’m wondering if there could be some worn out internals contributing to the light strikes.

Anyone have any thoughts on what I should

Ruger Charger newbie question. What is this backplate for?

Still very new to the 10/22 platform and all its different variants. I’m looking at picking up a Ruger Charger and was curious what exactly this back plate is for. Is it meant for mounting something, or does it serve another purpose?

Still learning my way around these, so any help or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

8 months of progress as a type 2 diabetic.

If I’m being honest, there were a lot of times I felt like I wasn’t making any progress at all. I’d scroll through Reddit and constantly see people posting insane transformations after only 2–3 months.

I’m also a type 2 diabetic, so I knew my journey wasn’t going to look the same as everyone else’s.
When I started, I was taking:

1,000 mg Metformin daily
10 mg Glipizide daily
80 units of insulin daily

For anyone wondering, my stack during this time was:

180 mg testosterone per week
2.5 mg Semaglutide per week

My A1C was in the high 13s when I began.
After six months, I had brought it down to the low 6s.

As my health improved, my medications started disappearing one by one.

First to go: Insulin. I gradually lowered my dose until I didn’t need it anymore.

Next: Glipizide.

Finally: Metformin.

Getting off those medications has been just as rewarding as the weight loss itself.

Everyone starts from a different place. Genetics, health conditions, medications, lifestyle, and consistency all play a role. Your timeline doesn’t have to match someone else’s for your progress to be real, so don’t let someone else’s results make you feel like you’re failing.

Finally Fixed the One Thing I Never Liked About My TS2

Anyone Else Prefer a Rear Biased Competition Pistol? I’ve always loved the TS2, but I never liked how front heavy it felt. I had the slide cut for a Vortex Defender XL and added some lightening cuts to take weight off the front. I also threw on a set of LOK brass grips and an Eemann Tech brass magwell. It now comes in at 55 ounces, with most of the weight shifted into the grip instead of the front end. I’m really curious to see how much that changes the way it shoots. Hitting the range in the morning and can’t wait to see how it runs.

WASR-M 9mm

Was wondering if anyone here has experience with these? I want something in 9mm that’s different. This would be strictly a range toy. Can these be FRT?

Daughter wants her first camera for her birthday. Cannon or LUMIX?

My daughter is turning 12 and has been asking me to buy her a used camera. Our budget is 250 max, After visiting a few pawn shops, we found a Panasonic Lumix ZS100 for $200 at one shop and a Canon EOS R100 for $200 at another. The Canon includes a lens, so it's not just the body, and both cameras come with chargers.

I know these are very different types of cameras and are designed for different uses, but which one do you think a 12 year old who is just starting in photography enjoy the most?
Can you still get high quality photos from a point and shoot camera like the ZS100? Also, is there anything in particular I should look out for when buying a used camera?

Thank you for your help. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

(1) Budget, country, and currency:
250 dollars, USA, US Dollars

(2) What equipment, if any, you have now and why is it no longer meeting your needs?
No current equipment. Daughter is new to photography

(3) What kinds of subjects do you intend to shoot?
Daughter wants to shoot her friends and objects in her room (she likes to craft)

(4) Is it primarily for photography, videography, or both?

Trading 14k rope chain for a 10k Miami Cuban. How Many Grams Can I Expect?

I’m thinking about trading a gold necklace I have that weighs roughly 35–36 grams of 14k gold for a 10k Cuban chain. The necklace is in excellent condition and looks brand new (I’ve only worn it about 5 or 6 times).

If I were to make that trade, about how many grams of 10k gold could I realistically expect to get? I know going from 14k to 10k usually isn’t recommended, but I really don’t like my current necklace and never wear it. I’d rather have a heavier Cuban that I’ll actually enjoy wearing.

Any advice from those who have done something similar would be appreciated. Also, if anyone knows of a reputable jeweler or online shop that accepts trades like this, I’d love to hear your recommendations. Thanks!

What 10mm ammo do you guys recommend?

Took it to the range with some blazer ammo and it was super soft shooting but I’ve heard most factory 10mm is under powered. What do you guys recommend? Picked it up on gun broker a couple months ago.

Wish CZ would do a chrome finish like Tanfoglio still does.

Both SAO the Tanfo is 40 S&W and the CZ is 9mm

Who Makes the Best 10k Cuban Chains for the Money?

It’s crazy I was just thinking about buying my first gold necklace that wasn’t a gift, and then all of a sudden I started seeing posts from this subreddit about men’s jewelry every time I opened the app.

Who do you recommend for a 10k Cuban chain with a good balance of price and quality? I did a quick Google search, and Jacoje, Goldzenn, Linx Resell, and Liry’s Jewelry all came up. Are those fairly priced, or do they tend to be overpriced? Are there any better options I should be looking at?

I’m currently considering a 5mm, 20-inch Cuban in 10k gold, possibly with a pendant. If anyone has a similar setup and wouldn’t mind sharing a picture, I’d really appreciate it.
