Temp Dip on Progesterone

Temp Dip on Progesterone

I had a big temp dip at 6 DPO while on progesterone supplements. I take them vaginally, so I don’t think it’s a metabolization issue. I thought the progesterone would keep my temps up. Any thoughts?

Never a Positive Test, Not Even a Chemical

As the title says, I’ve never had a positive test, not even a chemical.

I did an egg retrieval and embryo storage last fall before a cross-country move (and resultant loss of fertility benefits). Excellent results. We had 24ish mature eggs and ended up with 18 embryos.

Husband’s sperm analysis was “fantastic.” My AMH and everything else is great. Tubes are open, though spillage was slow on one side. I’m ovulating every month. Luteal phase went from \\\~10 days to a steady 13-14 after four months of acupuncture. I’m 34, 5’3, 131lbs, non-smoker, little alcohol, etc.

What the actual fork is going on with me?? If I had implantation issues, wouldn’t I have had a chemical at some point over the last 18 months? If anyone has had to deal with this, PLEASE, I’d love to hear from you.

Small Victories and Silver Linings

AF is on her way today, which obviously makes me feel disappointed. But I was thinking about silver linings from the last 18 months and I wanted to share a really big one. Coming off of my IUD, my luteal phase was 8-9 days. At its longest, I got 10 days.

I started acupuncture in February. I wasn’t sure it was doing much, but my insurance covers it so my sessions are only $25. I figured I’d stick with it for a bit.

Y’all, my last three luteal phases have been 14 days! A FULL FOURTEEN DAYS! I’m only supplementing Vitamin D, so I don’t think it’s that. I really think the acupuncture is regulating my progesterone. And I’m highly analytical, so having some measurable improvement has really improved my mental health.

If you’re feeling disappointed or discouraged this month, I hope you find some silver linings!

First Letrozole Cycle, Confused by Temps

I took 2.5mg Letrozole from CD2 to CD6. Currently at CD 15. I usually ovulate between CD13 and CD16, with my cycle varying between 25 and 29 days.

I am unmonitored, but I used OPKs twice daily since CD8. I got two positives on CD13 and one additional positive on CD14. I’m now testing negative. I use an Oura to monitor my temp. I know it’s not exact, but I’ve found it to be very reliable over the last three years.

Here’s my issue: my BBT temps are very low this cycle and are not reflecting a shift above my baseline. There’s been a slight shift higher (-0.8 to -0.2), but still below my baseline, if that makes sense. Does Letrozole typically impact BBT? I’ve always seen a rise after ovulation.

This is all just so strange to me, and I know I’m overthinking it, but we’ve been trying for so long and I’m feeling so discouraged.

Please indulge in my delusions!

Could this be an implantation dip? Or is the dip not low enough? Oura says 7 D-P-O. FF says 6 D-P-O.
