Something weird just happened

It was 8:30pm, I was outside, just standing by the street alone, hitting one of those "I'm cooked" poses and I was smoking. This mf came out of nowhere and asked for a smoke. I gave him one and offered light. He said "why is your hand shaking, do you have a neurological problem"? I said yeah, I guess.

Then he started offering me pills and said I wanna help you and stuff like that, which I politely refused, I thought he was gonna sell or push drugs. So he just said take it easy and we said goodbye and I anxiously left there and came back home.

I have a bad feeling about the whole encounter, I feel like I can't even go outside without people, at best, seeing something is clearly wrong with me, and at worst, trying to exploit me with drugs and shit.

In summary, day ruined my goslings!

Kudos to this fella for introducing me to Caroline's music

I'm not gonna lie, many of you are probably longtime fans of her and probably have a different approach to finding good music, but I'll admit, I'm a relatively new fan who got introduced to her back in early 2024 by Anthony Fantano.

I was looking for some good music and watched Fantano's “Best of 2023” video, where Desire was featured. It's worth noting that I had previously listened to Jesse Ware's What's Your Pleasure album because he recommended it back in 2021 (I didn’t know her at the time either), and it became one of my all time favorites, and later Chelsea Wolfe's She Reaches Out to She which was also a masterpiece.

First thing that I saw/heard from Caroline was 'Welcome to My Island' music video and it blew me away on the spot! After that I watched every single one of her music videos (including the Chairlift stuff) and later listened to the Everasking version of Desire many times.

I hate my brain

I sometimes forget the plot of an awesome movie I just watched, but can fully remember a bad thing happened to me 15 years ago with impeccable details!

People who do all sorts of cringe shit in front of the others and don't care about what anyone says, how do you do it?

God knew I'd be too powerful, so he introduced me to the concept of cringe!

I guess I'll just go f**k myself then

Why even bother talking to people about your problems? They'll just give you answers like this anyway.

Personal take on the Laufey Hate Situation

Sorry if this post has an angry tone; I didn’t know where else to talk about this stuff, but I really need to get it off my chest.

First of all, how many times do I have to choose the not interested option to stop YouTube from recommending grifters to me? No, I don’t care what critical dipshit has to say about Laufey. Does YouTube’s algorithm intentionally want to create more divide and anger?!

I’ve never cared in my life what the main character looks like in my game or whether they’re Black, white, gay, or whatever. I care about gameplay, story, music, sound, and graphics.

And for god’s sake, the game’s not even out yet. As always—just like with so many games and other media products over the last decade—the same rage‑market profiteers are talking shit about it, and so many people are falling for it. I’m not attacking every critic; some may have reasonable concerns. I’m talking about the same assholes who said The Last of Us 2 is the worst game of all time and that Ghost of Yotei was gonna flop!

I don’t know about you guys, but in this economy, I’m only going to buy games that have good reviews from people I trust, and I’ll be the first to say it wasn’t fun if I don’t enjoy it, but all of that happens AFTER the game is released. The Laufey situation is the same song and dance, and I’m so fucking sick and tired of it. They’re still saying GTA 6 and Wolverine are “woke” too!

And about Laufey: the main character is a woman, so what? Why is that a bad thing? She’s not pretty enough? Her breasts aren’t large enough? Her clothes aren’t revealing enough? Motherfucker, if you want to jerk off that badly to a video game character, just wait until it releases on PC and mod it. Many of you are gonna do it anyway or at least support the idea. Didn’t these same fucks race‑swap Angrboða from Ragnarok?!

I know the content creators are making money by spewing this trash, but why are so many people still falling for it? If you hate women and minorities that much, then don’t play these games, don’t talk about them, and don’t watch content about them. Go play something else. The game industry is not going to change because of your bigotry, and the fantasy paradise you think or hope AI will bring you is not going to fix your fucked‑up soul!

Anyway, I needed to vent about this. I wish you the best, thanks.

Positive post for a change

Never hated women, never subscribed to anti-woman influencers, never had butthurt over female protagonists, was a fan of a lot of great female artists throughout my life, loved my mom, sister, and aunts, respected my female classmates and they respected me. Never asked any praise for this, it was the right thing to do. I'm Ryan Gosling and I'm proud of myself!

This ever happened to you?

Something has been bothering me recently. I’ll watch a movie I don’t know much about—no online ratings, reactions, or anything—and the viewing experience is mostly fine. Then I look it up afterward and see people pointing out serious issues with the plot and other problems. When I think about it, I realize they’re right about many of them. But it still pisses me off. On one hand, I feel like my attention and comprehension of movie logic have declined; on the other hand, I hate that my positive experience is now tarnished by other people’s opinions. Has this ever happened to you?
