He’s ok dw, I brought him back to the pond

Hi, I just saw this bee and I have no idea what species it is. I hope you can help ID it.

It is fluffy like a bumblebee, though bigger. There’s a regular bumblebee as well so you have size reference.

It is completely blacked out, except for its wings which had a blue to purple shifting colour.

I am on vacation in Croatia if that matters. I haven’t seen these at home in the Netherlands, so now was my first time.

I would give you more pics if I could but it flew away, so this is all I have
