I’m a few years out and starting to look into healthcare options during retirement. I live in CA. When I went to healthcare.gov and put in my info under Covered California program, the bronze options were $300-$400 per month for an estimated MAGI of $50K.
Are these monthly premium quotes before or after subsidies? Where can I see the subsidy amounts? Thank you.
The lifetime limit is $15 millions per person. So why would many let their estates go thru probate? If you died unexpectedly, I’d understand. But if your health is noticeably deteriorating and you know you don’t have much time left, why don’t they just give away $15M each now? This would also reduce the likelihood of your heirs fighting over money later on.
Why is it that in many HK movies, most actors all have perfectly combed and slicked hair? This just doesn’t feel natural at all. Big names like Louis Koo, Andy Lau … all do this. In contrast, Korean actors all look natural and make the movies much more believable.
My portfolio mostly consists of high quality mega cap stocks and ETFs. It’s up +4% YTD. I have exposure to banks, waste management, credit cards, PE, software, semis, mega tech, and defensive areas like utilities, Costco and Berkshire.
