CTRS to LCAT advice

Hello friends,

I am currently working as a licensed CTRS in a rehab/long term care facility in NYS. I have a BA in Applied Psychology and Human Relation, and an “advanced graduate certificate” (not a masters) in Therapeutic Recreation. I’ve worked directly with patients in the hands-on field of activities for 5+ years in terms of work experience. Also, I am fortunate to work with a licensed LCAT coworker who would more than likely be able to supervise me and sign off those hours going forward.

I’m interested in possibly furthering my education and trying to become a licensed LCAT but am in need of some advice. If anyone was in a similar situation with a background in recreation, I am wondering if my work hours / coursework currently under my belt would carry over in any way. Would love to hear about anyone’s personal experience / get any recommendations of resources I could further look into or places I should be contacting for a more clear answer to my questions. Thanks so much for reading all this and have a great day!!!

Tray 10/10, changed every 10 days completed 🎉

Used to have braces as a kid, then wisdom teeth came in late and messed everything up. Did treatment for the crowding on my bottom teeth, not even so much for cosmetic reasons but I couldn't stand that overlapping feeling. It drove me nuts and gave me jaw/head pain.

Finished treatment last week waiting for the retainer now. Its not 100% perfectly lined imo but the overlap pain has stopped... and I really dont wanna deal with refinements. So im happy with it

Cheap/complaining coworkers ruined a fun work event

I work at a school and every year around this time, the staff does a summer grab bag event. You don't have to participate, but if you want to the rule is provide a gift thats $20 minimum (people usually do gift cards, starbucks/dunkin gift sets, bath and body works packages etc) wrap it or seal the card, and everyone picks something at random from the bag.

Well apparently last year some coworkers bought stuff that was recognized to be from dollar tree as their entry. Enough people complained I guess, said it wasn't fair they brought a $20+ gift and ended up with something low quality like dollar tree candles. So now admin has canceled the whole event this year... super disappointing ):

I really screwed the pooch on this one (its about a dog help)

I (23M) have been seeing a girl I will call Laura (22F) We were friends for pretty much all of college, and got together about a year ago shortly after we both graduated. She lives in a one bedroom apartment w her dog I will call Shoe (6F Yorkie) and bird (Idk year parakeet), i still live at home w my parents. So for freedom I stay at her place often

Thursday night two days ago we were hanging out with a couple of friends just chilling... well one of those friends hooked me up w a shrooms candy bar (white chocolate and fruity pebbles flavor) I had wanted to buy off him. I put it in my sweatshirt pocket cause I didn't wanna tell Laura about it, shes not into that stuff. My heart sank cause that night when I got home I realized it was gone. I must have somehow left it at Laura's place. OR maybe dropped it outside when we went to smoke. Either way it was gone and I was upset. But things got worse

Fast forward to earlier today she calls me in hysterics. Shoe her dog is currently sick at the vet... idk the specifics but some kinda stomach issues, he likes to eat stuff he shouldn't. My heart further sank when she said she found torn up purple candy wrapper in her room, so she thinks someone hanging out the other night may have accidentally left something on the floor.... the shrooms candy bar? Wrapper was purple

I dunno what to do i mean its not 100% sure that it was my candy bar the dog ate. Part of me wants to tell laura what happened but she would get mad at me for buying the shrooms in the first place! And it's might not be my fault, other people Thursday night had stuff on them it could be theirs. Do you think i should tell about my mistake or just be glad she doesnt know, since the dog is already with the vet
