Park N Ride Lot 1 vs Lot 2 Question at SEATAC

We just tried Park N Jet for the first time a few weeks ago. We parked at the Lot 1 facility, which only offers valet parking. We had to wait for nearly 30 min for them to get our car after arriving on the shuttle bus (lots of people already waiting ahead of us). I noticed Lot 2 offers self parking as an option. We're going on another trip soon and considering trying self parking at Lot 2 to skip similar long waits for valet to get car. Any cons with using self parking? Any risk of showing up and there aren't any self parking spaces left?

Question For Pixel Owners

This question is for the ATT locked Pixels. I'm curious how much ATT changes the base android release from Google. I've owned many Pixels through the years but they always had the base android OS and used Google Fi for the service. I'm expecting some connectivity apps and spam blocking app, but I hope they don't contain bloatware.

Also curious how closely ATT sends out the upgrades and patches like Google does. Google releases android version updates as soon as they've been officially released and sends out monthly patches for bugs and security.

Prefer To Not Use App for Newly Purchased LR4

I really don't care about controlling LR4 with the app. The only disadvantage of this that I can see is not getting firmware updates and have to contact customer support to add my LR4 to my Whisker account as there's no way to add it myself on the website. Since LR4 has been out for 4 years, logic would dictate that most of the bugs that can be fixed with new firmware updates have been addressed by now. Am I making a mistake?

Newly Purchased Pixel 10 Pro From Fi Store Appears To Be Reconditioned & Not New

When Fi put their Pixel 10s on sale last week, I decided now was the time to replace my old Pixel. I mean nearly 50% off is a great deal. UPS delivered the phone yesterday. I took it out of the box to look at it and immediately noticed a deep chip in the glass that protects the rear camera. The new phone was encased in the thick paper that you have to peel off and the phone box was sealed. There was also no small pieces of glass in the thick paper wrapper where something could have caused the glass chip after phone was enclosed in the box at the factory. So either the phone passed QA at the factory with an obvious deep chip in the glass or it's a refurbished phone where Google doesn't replace the rear camera protection glass that has glass chips.

Nothing on the Google Fi Store page for the purchase of the on sale Pixel 10 says I could receive a reconditioned phone instead of a brand new phone. Another slap in the face was if I chose to replace the phone (instead a refund), the agent on the chat said that I will receive a refurbished phone instead of a new phone. I decided to go the refund route instead. At this point, I'm hesitant to reorder a new Pixel 10, at least from the Fi Store. So buyer beware!

Best way to apply beeswax

Our new LR4 will be delivered tomorrow. I read tons of posts about the pros/cons of using beeswax, cooking oil spray, etc. Seems more people are happy with food grade beeswax. Was wondering how people apply it to the globe liner and surrounding plastic? I've used beeswax to lubricate leather boots before by melting it and applying it with a clean cotton cloth then let it dry. Is that others apply it?

LR4 Preventative Maintenance List?

We purchased a LR3 nearly 5 years ago and started having serious issues. In email discussions with LR customer service, she mentioned things like contact pins needing to be replaced every 1-2 years, motor every 2-3 years, and liner 2-3 years. I lost our LR3 manual, but we did read the manual cover to cover after buying it and don't remember these preventative maintenance steps.

We just decided to buy the Costco LR4 bundle instead of spending $s on replacing many parts on our 5 yo LR3. Just curious if the LR4 manual has similar ongoing preventative maintenance instructions?

I bought my LR3 50 months ago. It's been working great until just recently. The problem happens during the cycle. The globe spins completely CCW to dump the cat waste into the drawer, then when it spins CW is when the problem occurs. After only going maybe 10 degrees CW, the global suddenly stops and then reverses to CCW to it's normal stop position. The LED lights then blink yellow -> red ten times in succession. After the 10th yellow & red light blink, then the globe turns CW again and completes it's movement to a normal cycle end. Once the globe stops in it's normal position, the LED lights blinks yellow and red again nonstop.

I know a yellow -> red flashing sequentially means a motor detects obstruction or jam. I've removed the bonnet and globe and checked checked the gear/motor for an obstruction, but there is none. Also, this problem only occurs every 3rd or 4th time the LR3 does a cycle. It seems like if the LR3 has an obstruction or jam, it should happen every time a cycle occurs.

Anyone have any ideas? Not sure if this is allowed as I didn't see anything in the rules about it. Here's a shared Google Photos link to a video of my problem. The problem occurs at the 50 sec mark in the video.

I've been using Libby for years, but just tried to listen to a downloaded audiobook on a flight yesterday. I was about 3/4 of the way through the book before the flight. Once seat belt light went off, I opened Libby but it immediately said it needed an internet connection before proceeding. My Pixel was in airplane mode obviously. I tried everything: restarting phone and closing and reopening Libby. However I just couldn't get past the message saying internet connection was required before proceeding. Yes, the book had downloaded completely when I checked it out from library. Yes, I could have bought wifi on the plane to get internet connection. I also have Google VPN permanently disabled. However, I just gave up and put my Pixel back in my pocket.

I've seen others complain about this here, so it's not a new issue. Just felt like ranting. Maybe Libby tech support reads reddit posts.
