Never expected him to come back

My ex broke up with me two months ago. We were together for 4 years. But he ended it because he wasn’t “all in” and I was planning to move to him, we had been long distance a year, and he said he couldn’t let me.

I took him at his word was heartbroken but also felt like it needed to happen bc there were trust issues from things he did in the past etc. I just said okay and blocked him. Reflected lots and a new friend convinced me to make a Hinge and I met my now bf on it. I wasn’t expecting it but he was everything that I didn’t even know I was missing with my ex.

Like 2-3 days after my bf and I started dating, so a couple weeks ago, my ex messaged me on account I thought I blocked him on. Saying he regrets it. Wants to talk. I said I don’t think it’s necessary that we should move forward and I have a bf so it wouldn’t be appropriate

My ex was then shocked that I’m “already” in a relationship “after everything we’ve been through” (it’s bc of that actually) and “how recently this all happened” Like, “this all” what? When you dumped me 2 hours after I was at your family event 🫩

Fuck I hope he doesn’t find this. But it just feels like a slap in the face to send me those messages. But I blocked him after that

Did anyone block their ex completely right after a break up?

My ex (27M) and I (22F) had been together 4 years. He broke up with me over the phone since we were long distance this past year. He said he wasn’t fully in and I just said okay, was calm cool collected, even though I was fully in with him despite also maybe having doubts. But anyways. I accepted it, and hung up up. Then just blocked him on everything. It’s just really disconcerting. He was my best friend. Now he’s just like dead to me. And I know he wanted it that way.

I know I deserve all in after 4 years together though. Maybe I was too invested idk I don’t want to date again it’s the last thing I want to do. Maybe I just get too attached. It’s not like I was ready to marry him I don’t know but I’ve been pushing closing the distance moving out there. He doesn’t have his own place yet but yeah. Idk there’s a lot of emotions that come with just blocking him on a random Sunday

Do I break no contact

My (22F) ex (25M) called me almost a week ago saying he can’t let me move to him ( been long distance for a year together for 3 wanted to close the distance ) because he’s not “all in.” It’s been a long time coming I guess and ik he’s felt this way for a while I just know, but I just said “thanks for being honest it was nice knowing you,”and hung up blocked him on everything.

Now I’m just like, wondering how he’s doing if he’s okay ik how genuinely pathetic that is like, he’s perfectly fine he broke up with ME. But idk. It’s hard because he was also my best friend and now he’s just like dead to me??? I would’ve followed him anywhere. I hate that I let a man be the center of my life. We played house for so long ugh

Ik it’s prob not worth the possible rejection sting but idk does he not miss me at all. Fuck it just sucks

Feeling Like I Shouldn’t Keep Them Blocked

Got dumped over the phone 3 days ago, was planning on moving to him. We were together for three years and long distance for one. He said he couldn’t let me move there when he’s not “all in.” We had trust issues in the past and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have doubts I just loved him so much.

I just said it was nice knowing you, hung up and blocked him on everything. I feel like our whole relationship he was one foot out the door or I was always worried I’d be broken up with I guess I was right.

I just feel like maybe I shouldn’t have him blocked on everything. Idk, ik it’s pathetic. It’s just so hard

3 year relationship, turned long distance, breakup. Looking for advice or just similar experiences.

I (21F) was just broken up with by my boyfriend (26M). We’ve been together for over 3 years. Long distance for one. After going to a family event that he couldn’t make (I should’ve known it was a lie) he called me, said he couldn’t let me move to him when he isn’t “all in” (I was planning on getting a job where he is and moving in together. Well we were I guess).

That was yesterday and I blocked him on everything. Part of me saw it coming. He’s hurt me in the past. I guess I still just feel a bit in shock but maybe relieved too in a way. But the reason why I’m posting is because I just don’t know if I’m handling it “right.” I know it’s only been a day but I reached out to an ex. That I’ve thought about all this time, and he’s thought of me too.

I just feel guilty I guess like what if I’m not processing the breakup “enough?” What if because I’m not a crying wreck now, (which I kinda was before he did it yesterday) that means it’ll hit me all at once later? I don’t know deep down I think maybe I wanted to break up too. And I’m not really comparing my ex to him. Even though I know it’s only been a day 😅. I guess I’m just curious where he is now etc. I guess I’d just like some advice

For those who take glycopyrrolate, what is your routine?

I take 2 mg tablet of glyco as needed, but have to take it almost daily because I work as a cashier. I sweat throughout my whole body but excessively in my hands, like my hands will drip. It sucks, and it gets worse the more I think about it which doesn’t help when I have anxiety. But, glyco works. The side effects can just be so much.

I’ve started taking the glyco then waiting an hour before eating. But the medicine wears off quickly or isn’t as strong. If I don’t eat, the side effects are too much and make me feel out of it.

I do have an iontophoresis machine which I’m grateful to have but it is uncomfortable and time consuming and not very dependable. Glyco I know will work when I need it. Long term though it does suck. It’s such a weird disorder to have. I know it could be much worse but, it’s uncomfortable, embarrassing, and inhibits day to day life. Especially working public facing, handling glass bottles 😩, or just using touchscreens, fingerprint, general day to day things.

I am looking for advice/similar experiences. It turned into a bit of a rant 😅

Why did you all want to quit?

I’ve been a social smoker for years, but this past year I turned 21 and started smoking daily. My tolerance has shot up obviously, to the point where I finish a cart in a day 😩 I want to quit, but I just feel like I need it.

I have a hard time addressing this issue, well, addiction, because of the more relaxed view of weed I guess. Like, people say weed isn’t addictive, and I know it’s not as damaging as alcohol or hard drugs. But it’s still a drug.

I reached for weed, was motivated to buy my own carts, because I just like the way it makes me feel. I want to say it helps with my anxiety and depression but I feel like maybe it’s actually hurting it. My therapist tells me to quit, and I feel ashamed sitting there and just thinking that after, I’m going to go hit my pen. But I guess even still, I think what’s the point? Is weed really THAT bad?

Sorry if that’s not okay to say. Obviously I know it is bad. I think it’s just hard putting it into perspective. I know I want to quit because, my brain is still developing. I don’t want to make my anxiety worse. And obviously it’s expensive. But still, I end up saying just one more cart. That in itself should make me want to quit, that lack of self control.

What is life/consciousness FOR??

Life/consciousness fucking sucks. Like seriously what is it for. And please don’t give me hotline stuff I’m just venting and would never hurt myself. That’s just self preservation tho. But also I do like life. Idk. It just sucks. It’s suffering all the time, the scale of it depends, but life is constant suffering. Why do we live it? We were all perfectly content before existing. I need to lean more into hope and gratefulness I guess. This might get removed if it’s not applicable to consciousness enough, but I’m not really a scholar.
