I’m really curious to know how jerkers feel about Pat Rothfuss/Kingkiller Chronicles.
I liked these books a lot in my Good Good Boys era, and I know the McElroys had him on an episode and referenced TNotW a lot. Going back to them recently Kvothe become a super ninja fuck machine in Book 2 and Rothfuss clearly has some unresolved issues with women.
Pair that with his unresolved story (hey-o!) and inability to even finish promised charity chapters, and I add this to “art I forced my wife to consume, forgetting that my tastes were bad.” In that sense, it pairs perfectly with TAZ.
What other TAZ-era media goes in that bucket for you?
