Update on Jet Star 2 replacement project:

Demolition has begun on the Flying Aces pad and construction fencing has gone up around the plot.

Rumors are true! Flying Aces currently being disassembled. I talked to the maintenance technician and he was very clear that it was being “refurbished, repainted, and relocated.”

Best view I could get at the area behind pioneer village that’s been cleared out for whatever may be coming next.

Article says that Lagoon hopes to have zoo replacement ride ready by next summer, which means two possible new rides opening next year.

Very unusual to have two major attractions open in the same year. The JetStar 2 replacement is scheduled for next year as well, and this is the first time lagoon has commented on the plans for the zoo area.

Journey to Atlantis Shutdown Today because of someone exiting the boats?

Anyone have more details or context about this or know what happened?

I was standing in line from about 10:30-11:15 this morning, and just before getting to the front of the line, they announced it was shut down for someone exiting the ride vehicle and made everyone leave the line.

Logistics Question: Magnum closed during light sprinkle, but not TT2?

So my question is, why? I assume there is something specific about how Magnum operates that makes it less reliable in the rain than TT2. Is it the braking systems? Is it the type of track?

Not a complaint at all, just very curious about why :-)

Thanks!

Second Shipment from B&M to Lagoon spotted, with a note mentioning a larger order

Things are lining up more and more pointing toward this being a large B&M Hyper Coaster for Lagoon rather than just parts or a train for Colossus.

If you could change one thing about Lagoon-a-Beach, what would it be?

Mine would be expanding the lazy river. It always feels cramped for how popular the water park is, especially on a busy summer day.

And the park itself doesn’t have nearly enough water rides now that Log Flume, Cliffhanger, and Hydro Luge are gone!

Also, Lagoon needs a water coaster!

Visiting tomorrow - Question about Fast Track Wording

The wording for the Fast Track option feels sneakily ambiguous and I just want to confirm before I mess up which ticket I purchase.

Q: Does the Fast Track option for tomorrow ($65) allow only one skip the line all day, or one skip the time PER participating attraction?

Also, do you think I’ll need a Fast Track tomorrow? I see the park is selling discounted tickets…will that increase the overall park attendance?

Thanks in advance!

[Lagoon] issues with Screamin’ Swing?

Lagoon in Utah seems to be having tons of issues with its new S&S Screamin’ Swing, Nutcracker. I’ve been to the park 4 times in the last 6 days, and have yet to be able to ride because it is always down.

Anyone have any idea what the issue is? Have other S&S Screamin’ Swings had similar issues when they first opened?

Edited to add: just got in line for it again because it appeared to be operational. Ran 3 cycles with riders, then stopped mid ride again, made riders get off, and seems to be down again.
