Anyone around in the 90s and 2000s knows what I mean. I feel like only uber eats drivers have those. Most younger drivers actually have clean and new cars for the most part. 😂

I was at a local cafe and I live in a fairly ageing populated area and saw some older women grouped together having a catch up over lunch. Then I saw another one on her own grabbing a coffee, enjoying a cappuccino (old school choice, because I haven’t seen anyone order that in years).I started just observing things and I’ve started to get to that mature acceptance parts of reality. I’m 32 and definitely don’t relate to being a 20 year old anymore, but I also don’t feel old - yet. I feel physically in my peak, cognitively strong. Life feels pretty balanced for me rn, I’m still adaptable and can still be a big kid but also in that adult/building phase of life.

Where do you start to accept you’re an “old person”? When do you start talking about “old people things”, changing grooming style, habits, all of that? Do older people actually know they’re behaving “old”, or does the mind not really compute age in that structured, logical way? What does it actually feel like to be old? It’s a privilege to age, but I always wonder if older people notice they’re behaving “old”, or if it’s just shaped by upbringing and generation. Will old people always be different depending on their era? Different with newer generations? (I’m still referring to boomers).

My DC2 Type R flutters in neutral after solid driving, short drives not super noticeable. My mate reckons it could be something with the tune? I’m second owner, so history is a bit grey but otherwise it drives well and engine sounds perfectly fine + recently serviced. Any ideas?

From memory she was the biggest selling non-Japanese artist of all time and sold out Tokyo Dome in a record sale in the 90s, would young Japanese people still know her? Preferably insight from actual Japanese people.

I was born in 1994 and raised in Australia but I would’ve only been a few years old when this song came out, but I still have vivid memories of this song being very popular commercially in Australia. Maybe it was in commercials or on TV shows or just played a lot on Radio but is my young memory correct or am I sort of just romanticising?

Picked up my first B18C/Honda recently and it’s been solid overall, heaps of power still and no real signs of age. Recently serviced too, and O2 sensor was replaced recently.

Only weird thing is twice now it’s randomly refused to start. All electronics/lights come on fine so doesn’t seem like battery issues, but there’s literally no crank or even a click when turning the key. First time was after the car sat for a few weeks, then it did it again tonight. Both times it randomly started again a few mins later first try like nothing happened.

Not overly stressed yet since it’s only happened twice, but any ideas what I should check first? Starter? Main relay? Ignition switch? Still learning Hondas.

Picked up a Honda CR-X with a B18 swap about a year ago, extremely cleaned and OEM+ mods. History on the car is a bit of a grey area, but mechanically it’s actually in really good condition and I’ve had it checked over already and serviced etc.

Only thing I’ve noticed is after a spirited drive, the idle does a very slight flutter/bounce for a moment before settling back down perfectly normal. Car drives great otherwise, no stalling, no overheating, no warning signs etc.

Just wondering if anyone else with a B18 or older Honda setup has experienced this and whether it’s just a normal tuning/idle control thing or something worth looking deeper into?

I learned to drive manual about a month ago with some great help, I even drove with a friend today (mainly flat roads - residential streets) and they thought I was a pro lol they didn’t know I just learned - but I’m very familiar with Sydney roads and our city unfortunately is built on sandstone ridges and valleys, (if anyone is familiar with Sylvania / Blakehurst area) you’ll know what I’m talking about and I detour and use long routes just for simple drives. I practiced some hill stuff with handbrake, all went well but I get slight roll back I’m driving a 1991 Honda CRX but man, I want to get over this fear, if someone is behind my, I full panic 🫨

I’m currently running the stock radiator on my 1991 ED9 with a B18C engine swap but I’m keen to upgrade to a better radiator, something smaller and better performing too. Any suggestions?

I love her music, I’m a 30 year old Australian male, I wish I knew what she was singing about. Was she popular, was she liked in China? What was she like as a person, did she have a hard/good life? I feel something vulnerable and sadness in her music for some reason but I could be wrong, almost like she was hoping for something in life that she maybe didn’t get, whether that’s fulfilment, safety or love.

I have a 2023 Type R Civic and never had any issues, all servicing done according to schedule. I did do some hard mountainous driving on a cruise with a friend but nothing insane, no redlining. Was going for about an hour. We parked and hung out for around 30 mins and on the way down about 30 seconds into my drive. Every single dash light you can think of came on, everything. Then followed by burning oil smell I immediately pulled over and opened the hood and noticed a lot of heat assuming oil has sprayed into the engine. I needed to get down this mountain and desperately drove for another 5km at safe speed and low revs to try to get home but the engine started making a more mechanical sound, subtle but I knew I should stop. Oil was pretty much empty as it in fact had leaked as suspected. Everything else was fine no smoke or anything damage. This all just happened but I’m so confused what may have triggered this? How is this car not designed to take a hit. Any suggestions? I won’t get a report or updates for a few days but I’m very worried Honda will blame me and not cover me.
