Progress on Pretty in Punk
The netting has finally been completed, and the first flower and centerpiece bloom of the Pretty in Punk necklace has been completed. Two more blossoms to bead, barbed wire elements to create and then its just assembly!

Quick glance readings differ
Anyone know why this happens or how to change it? I've tried stopping and restarting the app but it's still showing a reading nearly twice as high in the "quick view" bar than my number actually is...

Ant Invasion
So I know summer is just ant season on the giant ant hill we call Seattle, but has anyone found their ant problem is so much worse this year? We have Terro traps everywhere, we live in a 3 storey apartment building on the top floor and we are overrun!
Not sure if I'm asking advice, looking for commiseration or just screaming into the void but ants are just... truly the worst. I don't mind spider season, I kinda like it, but ants...ugh!

I got curves baby!
Diagnosed about 2 months ago, on lowest dose of Methotrexate which has honestly made a difference even at that dose, though I think I'll have to titrate up to the next higher dose. Been having right ankle joint pain for a couple of days, yeah, no big, used to it. You guys know what I mean. Finally got to the point tonight where I decided to really just have a good look cause its giving me 12/10 pain and DANG! Girl's got an hour glass figure!
Also please excuse the cat hair, old man decided to rub against it right after I applied Dragon Balm and left me with a sizable clump of cat fur...
Not looking for advice or anything, just thought I'd show off my impressive RA swelling and share my resigned amusement (bemusement?) with other folks who totally get it.

It finally got me
I've had a sensor gooseneck on me, had a couple fail to pair or just fail after pairing, but this is the first time I've gotten one of the "this could kill you" sensors. 47 this morning (finger prick was 142 after emergency sugar intake whilst sensor was still saying 50), 102 this afternoon after eating (finger prick was 198) and just now, 320!!! (Finger prick is 249, still a little high but this is 120 minutes after an admittedly carb heavy dinner). So yeah, think I'm going to change my sensor... wonder if this is one of the ones from the most recent "bad batch"?
ETA: flagged as calibration issue as used both finger pricks this morning to calibrate the sensor so maybe it went too far in the other direction?

A month. That's how long I've been working on this piece. It's been intense and I can't even look at it objectively right now. My sister loves it, my husband and friends say its stunning and they're impressed but I'm still too close to this to critique it in a clinical way.
It's pearlised seed beads, 11s and 15s, Preciosa rivolis and sunstone (one if my faves!).
I can hopefully analyze it later but right now I can't opine if it's good, bad, somewhere in between so I'm just going to sit back and breathe for a bit...
