Is this a reasonable course of treatment?

Hi guys. I was diagnosed with ADHD earlier this year and have been on methylphenidate(M-det 10 IR first and then switched to Mdet-10SR once a day) . At my latest appointment, my doctor increased my methylphenidate dose to 20 mgSR in morning and if needed 1 tab IR 10mg(in evening) and also added fluvoxamine 25 mg( i dont know what for ?) at night.

I had told him that my screen time, sugar intake, and other dopamine-seeking/instant-gratification behaviors have increased, and he mentioned this could be obsessive thoughts.

Does this seem like a reasonable approach? Has anyone had a similar experience?

Also, what can I do from my side (habits, therapy, lifestyle, etc.) to improve ADHD and reduce my dependence on medication over the long term? I don't want to rely only on increasing doses.

Help !! Maintaining Phase ????

Hi Guys. I Got my test done and my level was around 187 nmol( 75 ng/ml). I was taking 10000 iu with 120 mcg k2 and mg. daily (for around 2.5 months). But i still feel pain in front ribs ( front and back both). Its been only 2.5 months so i guess i should maintain my level and continue taking d3 for longer duration. But i wanted to ask should i lower my daily dose to around ( 4000-5000 iu) or not ? Will lowering my dosage in half lower my d3 level by alot ?

Need guidance.

CFA Level 1 candidate here.

My coaching subscription is ending today (The Valuation School, and I still have FSA (Financial Statement Analysis) readings left to complete.

The coaching provider is offering an extension for more money. I'm trying to decide whether it's worth paying for the extension or if I should switch to other resources.

I already have access to Let Me Explain, but I'm a bit unsure whether I'll be able to grasp FSA concepts as efficiently as I would in a more Hindi language explanation style.

For those who have cleared or are preparing cfa l1 -

Is FSA something that can be comfortably completed using Let Me Explain + CFA Institute questions?

Are there any genuinely good free FSA resources (YouTube, playlists, notes, etc.) that you would recommend instead?

What should be the approach to cover fsa and be good at it ?

Thanks!

Need Help

Hi everyone. I was recently diagnosed with ADHD and today was my 2nd appointment with my psychiatrist. I wanted to ask people in India who are taking ADHD meds — do you have to visit and pay consultation fees every month just to get the prescription refilled?

My doctor gave meds only for a short duration and I have to travel a long distance to get both the appointment and the medicines, so it becomes quite difficult and expensive.

Is this normal in India for ADHD medications? Do doctors eventually give longer prescriptions once treatment is stable? Would appreciate hearing your experiences.

Help !!!!!!!!!!! I Cant comprehend this. !!

I’m trying to understand whether I’m a very slow Vitamin D responder, have an absorption issue, or if this can still be considered normal physiology.

My starting labs on 30/31 March 2026:

  • Vitamin D (25-OH): 17.3 ng/mL
  • Vitamin B12: 268 pg/mL

Then from 1st April onward, I supplemented VERY consistently with almost no gaps:

Vitamin D protocol:

  • 22,000 IU/day for 8 days
  • Then 10,000 IU + 1,200 IU daily for 30 days
  • Then 4,000 IU + 600 IU daily for around 15–18 days
  • Total intake roughly ~585,000 IU over ~55 days

Important:

  • Took D3 with fatty meals every day
  • Also took magnesium daily
  • Also took K2 MK7 daily (~55–160 mcg)
  • No gaps/missed days

B12 protocol:

  • Started much later on 18 April
  • Methylcobalamin 1500 mcg daily

Retest on 25 May 2026:

  • Vitamin D: only increased from 17.3 → 26.4 ng/mL
  • Vitamin B12 increased from 268 → 505 pg/mL

This is what confuses me:
B12 almost doubled despite starting later, while D3 barely rose despite very high dosing and cofactors.

I’m planning to buy a Hot & Cold inverter AC (heat pump) in India and need some real-world advice, not marketing.

Shortlisted models:

  1. Daikin FTHT60UV (1.8 ton, 3-star, hot & cold) 2026, its has almost no features
  2. Panasonic CS/CU-EZ24CKYFM (2 ton, 3-star, hot & cold, 2026 model), has new features

Price for both is around ₹57–60k.

My situation:
- Large hall
- Top floor
- Will be used daily but not for longer hours
- Also important: low noise (I have pets, so sudden noise or airflow spikes matter)

What I want to know:
- Which brand is more reliable long-term? (5–8 years)
- Any known issues (PCB, gas leakage, compressor failures)?
- Is Panasonic’s extra cooling power worth it over Daikin’s reliability?
- How is heating performance in real winter?
- Any real user regrets with either?

Also open to other suggestions under ₹60k if something is clearly better.

Please share some insight. Thank you.
