Is it worth replacing old pallet trucks and carts before they completely fail?

We're trying to decide whether to keep repairing some of our older warehouse equipment or just replace it all at once. Most of it still works, but the wheels are worn out, a couple of carts don't roll straight anymore, and we're wasting time dealing with little issues every week.

For anyone who's gone through this, did replacing your handling equipment make much difference to day-to-day operations, or did you just end up spending money without noticing a huge improvement?

EDIT:Appreciate all the advice. We decided to replace the worst of it instead of continuing to patch everything up. Ended up ordering the new roll cages and picking trolleys from Rollcage.ie Ireland, and the difference has honestly been noticeable already.

How do people actually scale a property portfolio without making things messy?

I have been building up my property portfolio and I’m starting to realise that buying the next property is only one part of the challenge.

The more I look into scaling, the more things come up that I didn’t think about at the start. Financing, tax planning, managing everything properly, and making sure each decision actually helps long term.

For people who have grown a portfolio beyond a few properties, what was the thing you wish you focused on earlier? Was it finding better deals, building systems, or getting better advice around the business side?

Trying to avoid learning everything the hard way.

Edit:

I ended up speaking with WR Partners in the UK and it helped me look at the bigger picture. They work with property owners and owner-managed businesses, so it was useful having someone look at planning and structure instead of just focusing on the next purchase.

Has anyone dealt with water damage in the Seattle area and had a good experience with a restoration company?

So I woke up to a flooded basement this morning in the Bridle Trails area of Bellevue. A pipe burst sometime overnight and there is standing water everywhere. I am freaking out and trying to figure out who to call. I have heard horror stories about restoration companies that overcharge or do a terrible job and then ghost you.

I need someone who can get here fast and actually knows what they are doing. I also do not want to deal with the insurance headache myself. If they can handle billing directly that would be a huge relief. Anyone local have a recommendation for a company that is reliable and not shady?

Hurt my shoulder lifting at work (LA) adjuster is ignoring my texts. What now?

I messed up my shoulder lifting a heavy crate at work about a month ago. Reported it right away, went to the doctor they sent me to, and they said I need physical therapy.

The problem is the insurance adjuster has completely ghosted me. My PT appointments keep getting delayed because she won't approve them, and she hasn't responded to my calls or texts in two weeks. I'm still working light duty, but the pain is getting worse. Should I keep trying to reach her, or is it time to get a lawyer involved?

UPDATE:

I started looking into local LA attorneys who handle workers' comp and stumbled onto Roy Injury Law. They have solid reviews and look like a smaller, family-run office instead of one of those huge billboard firms that just treat you like a number.

Just want to know if they are actually good at forcing adjusters to answer before I call them. Thanks!

What should I be checking before renting a moving truck? Looking for some local advice.(Indiana)

I’m planning a move soon and I’m trying to figure out what to look for when renting a truck. I’ve never rented one before, so I’m wondering what details actually matter beyond just the truck size.

I’m currently comparing a few local rental options and trying to find something reliable with well-maintained vehicles. Would appreciate any advice from people who have rented trucks recently.

Looking for a company to design and install landscape lighting for my front door and sidewalk in Indiana

Hey everyone! As the title says I’m looking for a company that can help design and install landscape lighting around my front door and along my sidewalk. I’m hoping to find someone who can create a nice, welcoming look while also improving the lighting and safety around the entrance.

I’m looking for a company that can handle the whole process. I mean helping with the design, recommending the right fixtures, and completing the installation. If anyone has worked with a good landscape lighting company, I’d appreciate any recommendation

Edit/Update:Thanks everyone for the suggestions! I ended up contacting Adam's Landscaping, Inc.and wanted to share my experience so far. They were really nice, professional, and easy to communicate with. They took the time to understand what I was looking for and shared some great ideas for lighting up my front door area and sidewalk.

I’m going to move forward with working with them on this project, and I’m looking forward to seeing how everything turns out. I’ll post an update once the installation is complete!

What's the best way to hire virtual legal support for a law firm?

Our firm has been getting busier lately, and we're starting to look at virtual legal support instead of hiring another full time employee. The goal is to take some of the administrative work off our attorneys so they can spend more time on clients and case strategy.
Please advice
