The Nightmare Before Michaelmas, Watercolor on black paper, Nuances de Louve, 2026, [OC]

The story behind my latest watercolor painting came to life with my birthday and a colleague who gave me this little pumpkin spooky mug. I wanted to create a cozy, autumnal atmosphere with the indulgent drink, whipped cream, cinnamon, and cinnamon roll, and then extend it into Halloween by adding the detail of the screen showing the iconic film The Nightmare Before Christmas. The title, The Nightmare Before Christmas, is linked to the Feast of Saint Michael the Archangel, celebrated on September 29th, which coincides with the arrival of autumn. I hope you like this little illustration! 🎃🖤

My giant raspberry & white chocolate cookie 🍓🍪

I baked a giant cookie today and honestly… I’m very happy with how this one turned out. 😍

It’s packed with raspberries and white chocolate chips, with a crisp golden edge.

I love making big cookies like this instead of individual ones. It feels a little more rustic and somehow even more comforting. 🍂

And of course, everything tastes better when the kitchen starts looking like autumn. 🎃🍁

October Spell, Watercolor on black paper, Nuances de Louve, 2026

I’ve been wanting to paint something that feels like October itself, and this little pumpkin spell came to life. 🎃🍂

A green jack-o’-lantern hanging from an old wooden branch, surrounded by the last autumn leaves, all painted on black paper.

There’s something about October that I love so much. The colors, the darker evenings, the feeling that everything becomes a little more magical and mysterious. 🕯️

Autumn is for cozy naps with Félix 🐈‍⬛🍂

Autumn has officially arrived in our little corner of the world. 🍂🎃

Cozy blankets, pumpkin cushions, warm colors… and Félix, obviously, making himself very comfortable in the middle of everything. 🐈‍⬛🧡

Honestly, I think he understands the whole autumn cozy lifestyle better than I do. 😂

It's giving Edinburgh vibes...🍁🖤🤎

And no...it's not Edinburgh! It's in the city center of Le Mans, France, a stone's throw from the old town. And I don't know why this particular view makes me think of Edinburgh, a place I dream of going to... 💫🤎

The Phantom of the Opera — A Dark Academia Read

A beautifully atmospheric edition of The Phantom of the Opera by L. P. Sicard, with haunting illustrations and a wonderfully dark, theatrical aesthetic. 🖤📖 A perfect read for autumn evenings, gothic literature lovers, and anyone drawn to mysterious stories filled with shadows, secrets and old-world atmosphere.

Que pensez-vous de mon look ?

🎃 Pumpkin’s Head Fall, Watercolor on Black Paper, Nuances de Louve, 2026

🎃 Pumpkin’s Head Fall, the story behind my latest watercolor :

I didn’t want to paint just another jack-o’-lantern sitting on a doorstep.

I imagined a little pumpkin character whose head had been separated from his body and turned into a jack-o’-lantern. His body was left at the bottom of the stairs, sitting there patiently, with his hands resting beneath an invisible chin… waiting for his head to come back.

Meanwhile, his head is sitting at the top of the stairs, looking rather sad about the whole situation. 🎃

There’s something a little tragic, a little absurd, and hopefully a little cute about it.

And the title “Pumpkin’s Head Fall” is a little play on words: fall refers both to falling — his head having fallen/separated from his body — and to autumn, the season of pumpkins and fallen leaves. 🍂🎃

I love imagining little stories behind my paintings. Do you see the story the same way I do?
