Maple story vs Lost ark as I am just getting in to the game

Just a quick question before I jump in and invest in this game: Is it similar to Lost Ark? Since they’re both Korean games, I don’t want to start playing if it’s anything like Lost Ark.

Problems I had with Lost Ark:

  • It’s pay-to-win if you want to progress and become stronger faster.
  • There are no repeatable mob dungeons where you can continuously farm meaningful amounts of important currency, gold, or materials. Instead, you have to wait for weekly raids and rewards.
  • There is too much gatekeeping in raids, and there aren’t enough lower-level players to group with for raid bosses, so you’re often forced to play solo.
  • There are no dungeons or rifts, like those in the Diablo series, that you can run continuously for hours without daily or weekly restrictions to earn enough materials for gear upgrades and other progression systems.

I don’t mind weekly bosses or raids, as long as I can find players at a similar level or skill level to fight them with and there is no gatekeeping. How are you supposed to defeat difficult bosses if there are no players available to group with? That was one of my biggest frustrations with Lost Ark.

I’d also be happy to get into this game if it has repeatable, rewarding monster dungeons that aren’t restricted by daily or weekly limits. A good comparison would be Greater Rifts, Nephalem Rifts, or bounties in Diablo III. If the game has those elements, I wouldn’t even mind paying a little to progress faster.

Bofa App blocked from overseas

I was a student in the US and worked there until I left in 2025. I have funds in my bank of america and have not closed the account. I now live in Europe for work, I am originally Japanese by passport.

Last week, I tried to logon to my Bofa app from phone and it got blocked as I accidentally mistyped the password wrong twice ( was alittle drunk that day ). I cant go back to the US anytime soon, how would I be able to unblock and gain access to my Bofa app again from here in Germany ?

Microcenter Service & Repair > Best Buy Geek Squad

I did the most funny experiment ever to see how competent Best Buy is compared to Micro Center. So the story is, I got my PC BitLocker'd and couldn't access it due to my Microsoft account issues. All I needed to do was a fresh install using a USB drive, as my data was all backed up anyway. But I tried taking it to Best Buy and Micro Center to see who could fix this issue technically at no cost. Anyone who knows anything about PCs should just advise me to reinstall it on the spot without asking me to sign up and pay for their service.

Best Buy (Geek Squad): The most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. After turning on my PC, the Geek Squad guy was like, "There's no hard drive to install the new Windows on, and you may have to buy a new hard drive from Best Buy or Amazon, and we'll install the whole thing." On top of that, they quoted me around $300–$350 USD for the whole job, new hard drive plus their installation service. And I'm thinking, this is the stupidest thing ever. Of course they couldn't see the hard drive, mind you, the USB wasn't even inserted to do the hard reset and run through the steps to get to the point where I pick which partition to install Windows on. Before even getting to that point, they were like, "You need a new hard drive, Windows can't detect it, so you can't install Windows." Seriously, Geek Squad was so dumb. Not recommended for anyone who needs actual help with PC hardware and software diagnostics. It's suited more toward people having problems who have never used a PC in their life.

Micro Center: They immediately said to plug in my USB, and yeah, it was good to go lol. Didn't even ask me to sign up for a service, the dude just installed it on the spot with my USB at zero cost.

( FYI: The dude from Best Buy Geek Squad was asking me how to get in to BIOS LOL )
