Gofar in The Raid

Gofar in The Raid

Went and introduced The Raid to my dad and we watched this together. This guy was the only innocent civilian living in the apartment with his wife who hid the cops from the machete gang.

My dad told me, I wouldn't want to be living in that building considering everyone else were gangster and criminals, lol.

Big Brother

This is a good martial arts film starring Donnie Yen who was a former ex military soldier and decided to become a teacher at his former school. The students that he had to teach came from troubled backgrounds or home life and begins mentoring them.

If you've watch this movie, there's a scene of him where he enters into an MMA locker room and fought all the MMA guys to rescue one of his students. Pretty good film.

Best gun in Vice City

This is the 357 Colt Phyton from Vice City. If anyone remembered this, this handgun makes a loud pop and in my opinion, the best gun in the game as it deals a One Hit Kill on the target.

Baseball Batman & Hammer Girl

This Duo were badass from The Raid 2. Not much is known about their backstory, but I believe they are siblings and read up that they were abused by their father and ended up killing him. The fight scene with Rama is like having to fight the co mini bosses before you reach to the main final boss which was the Assassin.

Underrated female heroine and protagonist

She is one of my favorite female characters and simply underrated not only in the Predator franchise but in all media. If I have a favorite female heroine protagonist, it would have to be her. Her name is Naru from the movie Prey. She specializes in medicine and was seen as an underdog and wanted to prove her worth that she can hang with her brother and the rest of the tribe.

Love the way how she stood her ground when being confronted by the Predator showing NO fear and her bravery and confidence makes her attractive.

Not dissing on Badland (that one is good too), but I was hoping they would've carried on with Naru's story with the next installment.

Staffing Recruitment Agencies

For many of you who are struggling to find work, one method you can do to instantly earn money and I can share is that you can try applying for recruitment agencies. These people will most likely get you working immediately, and the best part about it is that you never had to go through the interview process. The position is only temporal depending if the company is busy and needed extra workers so you won't get that much opportunities or pay.

Currently, I'm working for an agency, but only on part-time shift at a warehouse every weekly and just about last week, I had an on call from a separate agency for a different company too. Heres a strategy that you can go about this is that you can try applying for multiple agencies at the same time just in case if one isn't avaliable while the other is so that way you'll have more opportunities more pay, but make sure you keep it a secret and dont let the other one know. While you do that, you can continue on looking for full-time work.

Use Stopwatch for Time Management

Time management skills is one of the major things I needed to work on and also being punctual on deadline or meetings. Lately I have found an effective strategy I have discovered and would like to share that you can use to prioritize it better so you will have a better chance to prevent yourself from being late for work or other appointments.

What I like to do is set up and use a Stopwatch app from my phone and start the timer before heading out and by the time when I arrive to the area, I will see how many minutes it took for me to get there and use it to subtract the original time of the deadline to roughly estimate how earlier I should leave the house.

For example, today I had an appointment at 10:00am. When I stepped out of the house to use public transit, I use my phone to begin my Stopwatch as soon as I enter the bus. Roughly it took me about 45min to arrive at the facility. After that, I use those 45min and subtract it to the original deadline of the time, which is 9:15am. Therefore, I made an estimate of leaving the house to maybe 10min prior earlier of that time just in case of slow service and traffic delays.

Not much of a math person, but you can use those math skills when it comes with time management.

Erotic Pyschological thrillers

I'm not much of a reader and would like to spend more quality time reading, and less time scrolling on social media, and on the internet. I've recently been reading The Housemaid novels and I find them to be quite intriguing, and as a man, I happen to enjoy these erotic content themes with psychological thrillers, mystery and suspense that are mainly geared towards the majority of women demographic.

My friend asked me "why am I reading these girly books?", and explained that these books are mainly written by women authors who's been through bad experiences in relationships (which could be true but debatable). These genres are still an interesting read as it allows you to understand the female psyche and their love language too and it had a unique plot twist, which keeps you engaged.

I'm looking for some suggestions with that sort of content.

Gone Girl (2014)

Wanted to watch a movie similar to the Housemaid since I enjoyed reading the books and the movie so I decided to look for another psychological thriller relateable to this so someone suggested Gone Girl starring Ben Affleck. The movie was 2 hours long and it's about a wife and a journalist who had gone missing, and the husband was presumably accused for murdering her, which led all the suspicions being pointed at him.

It had It's unique, twists and turns, because the wife staged the entire event by creating a fake crime scene in their own home planting evidence and materials to frame the husband to make him look guilty and this was done ultimately to get revenge on him for cheating.

This Amy Dunne character is one psychotic and disturbed b**ch and the actress did a really good part on portraying her. Makes me scared to even want to get married and to let alone have a wife like that, lol. Overall it's a decent movie. Reminded me of Basic Instinct but it kinda dragged too long.

I hate it when hiring recruiters don't get straight to the point

They had to keep yaking yaking and yaking about each specific job description in great detail for about 5-10 min straight while I had to sit there like a stiff wall pretending like I care (which I don't). Ffs, why can't people just get their point across these days and make things clear. Sweet and straight to the point and concise.

You must have a DO IT NOW or REGRET LATER attitude.

I am 34 and soon to be 35 next month and I have always been lazy and a slacker for the most part of my life always missing out on every opportunities I could've had, but no more, because time passes you by very quickly. Every opportunities you get, you must take complete advantage of the time you have and use it. The thing is, I don't worry too much on the pain and stress that comes along with it because these are only temporaral feelings and it will pass, but time is the most valuable thing and it is something that you can't get back.

That is the philosophy I always adopt every day when getting up in the morning is to DO IT now or REGRET LATER, because I don't want to end up being 50 and look back at my life and say I should've, would've, could've. Pain is temporary, but Regret is forever.

1 week probabtion period is ridiculous

Yesterday I recieved a text message that my probabtion period is over and they decided not to continue with my employment after 1 week of working and I got very upset and angry that this happened too. My position was seafood handler at a grocery store, and wanted to learn how to cut and debone a fish

My boss was barking orders at me and he expects me to know the entire layout and the format of the workplace just on my 2nd day of the job too. I tried my best to listen, assist the customer needs and make them happy, and kept my work station clean and tidy, and the staffs kept heckling me for absolutely no reason at all when I tried to perform in the best of my abilities. There were certain task that the manager told me to do but I wasn't familiar so kept standing there like an idiot and froze while he started yelling and he went and did it for himself.

Probabtion period should be 3 months at best for someone to be qualified. 1 week isn't enough for anyone to quickly adapt to something as they needed more time. This is ridiculous because I was just getting used to everything already with cutting fish and after they scolded me on all the items are at with the layout too.

Seafood Handler

Tomorrow, I'll be starting my shift as a Seafood/Handler at a supermarket. A little nervous but am confident in my abilities. I was let go working at a commercial kitchen for a restaurant and was always inspired to be a chef, but it's just wasnt in me, and thought that maybe I can spend 90% of the work involving with filleting fishes instead since I'm always been good with knife handling skills (which is my favorite part about being in the kitchen). I know how to use a knife with safety and precision but needed to learn techniques in how to cut and trim ✂️ them in a specific way. I am excited for the training, but a little nervous, because I don't want to waste any excess flesh which would be a waste of money.

anyone ever had experience with this profession and please do share some tips and advice and what I be expecting during the shift.

Missing ultilities

I am someone who loves to cook. I have a passion for food and I enjoy cooking neary every day. However, one of the most frustrating things about working in the kitchen (and I'm sure this the most common) is sometimes, the utilities going missing and you had to keep searching through every cabinet and drawer to find that item or someone in your family household may have been using the kitchen the day before and have placed those tools in other locations.

Isn't this very annoying for some of you and what are the strategies you can share to minimize the stressful situation?

EDIT: Utensils

Had a trial shift test

I like to share with everyone about an amazing experience I have had 2 days ago that really changed my life and my outlook with how I begin to view the kitchen industry. If you look throughout my profile history, you'll notice a post of me sharing about how I desperately wanted to become a chef just to prove something to myself and to become the best, and if the people on here had previously remembered the things I shared that may have offended you then I like to take everything back.

About 2 days ago, I had a job offering for Dishwasher/Prep position for a small family restaurant of an ad that I discovered on Indeed. It's a family restaurant that everyone knows throughout the small community and had spoken with the owner's daughter about the position online and we arranged to set up for an interview.

After the interview, she offered to have me come in the next day for a trial test run to see if I am the right cultural fit and gave me papers of all the list and instructions for me to review. Inventory storage check, meal prep, dishwashing... and boy after looking it throughly, I was very intimated and thought about backing down.

So the next day when arriving to work, the manager walked me throughly in the storage room to see the inventory check and had to ensure everything were all in stock and write down what's to order for delivery and had me wash dishes as well. He had me to also chop up the pork belly too and unload all the vegetables and assist the prep cook for customers orders.

There were a lot of bending, crouching, lifting of these boxes and was strained from all of this, and my face was even sweating from the intensity of the wok. The owner (who is the manager's dad), was a very nice man. At first I was very intimidated by him and didnt want to disappoint him, because this family is known to have a great reputation. The dad is humble, hard working man who makes an honest living to provide for his family, and I was scared of the mother too, but turns out she was really encouraging. Told me to stand and observe the professionals and cooks to see how its done.

During my shift, I spoke with the daughter and shared something to her that was a little emotional for me. It taught me and showed me of all the sacrifices that my own mother had to make while working in this industry, because my own family ran a chinese takeout growing up. The manager smiled as she share that story about her mother too and I realize that I have taken her for granted for all these years and feel sh!tty about myself.

After my trial shift, the manager gave me feedback and unfortunately, I was let go. There were some safety concerns, because I was sloppy with carrying some things and wanted to be extremely cautious ⚠️ to not wanna spill anything or else im screwed. On the bright side, however, she does like my attitude. I had a willingness to learn, asking the staff if they need any assistance, sweeping any mess on the floor, etc.

I wasnt even mad or upset that I didnt land the position, but actually was very grateful for the experience, because it was that manager who gave me an opportunity, while nobody else did after all the rejection letters I've was getting. Then after that, I went over to her father, smiled and shook his hand.

Her father was very nice. When he spoke, and taught me things, I made sure to keep my mouth shut and listen carefully. Didnt even think about wanting to argue back, because hes be in the game for decades. I admit that I can have an ego, stubborn and many people say that I don't listen either (a skill I need to work on).

I asked him is being a dishwasher the first step in becoming a great chef? He said yes and explain that it all starts from the basics and prepping. He said that "you're trying to aim for the sky, but that is impossible", you gotta start from the ground.

And now I had the chance to see what the entire structure was like. You wash the dishes to allow the operation to run consistently and I can see the systematic order and how it is properly structured. Western media likes to portray the chef lifestyle as something to be fancy and its often romanticized, but now I realize it is farther from the truth and see the reality of what its like to be in the kitchen. Its hot, intense, straining on your body, staffs aruging with you, customers complaints and much more.

When I got home, I message the manager online and thanked her for the opportunity. Even though I didnt get hired, this experience had made me matured and humbled and it made me much more confident as a chef and even became much more appreciative towards my mom and our relationship has gotten stronger because of this. No hard feelings involved and I understand its business and it wasn't personal but on the meantime, I will continue to volunteer at the food bank for more training.

Christians who struggle with Lust & Pornography

This is the topic that not many churches often share and it's something that many of us do in secret in the comfort of our own bedrooms privately at night. We watch certain content on our computer screens and therefore proceed to pleasure ourselves from it. It's one of those things that we struggle with and try to overcome but end up being unsuccessful.

I like to share one of my methods and strategy that you could use to approach this and this has worked for me. What I like to do is use a notepad 📝 from my phone and create each separate categories of different topics/themes and underline it with scriptures pertaining to it. Separate categories such as Anger, Hate, Revenge, etc.

So I had a category of Lust/Pornography and what I do is go on and collect every verses and scriptures that I could possibly find that is related with that topic so each time whenever I become tempted and has this urge to want to watch it, I then quickly pull up the notes and began reading every verse against lust and meditate on them too Miraculously, I would then feel the temptation and the urge slowly begin to diminish.

This goes to prove that the Bible isn't just a ordinary book but there's a spirit and life behind it as it's living.

How to become a Fishmonger?

I was thinking about getting into this trade since I already possess great knife handling skills, but the difference is those are only used for culinary meal prepping for chopping up vegetables and basic cutting and I'm able to do it with such skill, accuracy, speed and consistency too.

I haven't stepped foot in a commercial kitchen to do any restaurant work, but I am confident to say that I could probably become a fishmonger instead. Knife work is one of my favorite things about culinary, because you just feel like a ninja and a samurai with how you welll you use the blade, and its something that I actually find joy in lol.

However, I know with Fishmongering you'll need a specific skill and technique to fillet and cut fishes in a certain way and locate certain area of the joints and make clean precise cuts and I'm looking to see if there's any training involved in how to step foot into the industry.

Would you rather recieve a Rejection letter or being Ghosted?

Even though getting Rejection letters can be disheartening and discouraging at times, at least it's better than having to keep stringing someone along. It's better to let someone know and not have your time wasted.

Use a notepad 📝 to fill in all your work history information

Some job applications requires you to manually fill in all your work history, contact information, education, references, etc. And it gets annoying having to do that all over again when you already have your resume file that you can upload.

What I like to do is simply put all that information from my resume on a separate notepad and have it saved in my folder so that way you can pull it up whenever and copy & paste that information down. It will make the mental process less hectic for you.

Another thing I like to do as well is create a note file with job passwords in them that includes all the Accounts I've signed up for on every companies website so that way I won't have to keep changing passwords when I don't remember.
