AIO for being mad and not apologizing to my friends after allegedly making them uncomfortable with my drinking habits?
Genuine question, I'm thinking about this situation all over again and see where I could be wrong but at the same time I can't fully agree with them...
Long story short.a couple of days ago, my (19F) small friend group and I were at our friend sister's 22 birthday party. Of course we're young, there was alcohol, cigarettes, and all this stuff.
It's important to mention that I have absolutely nothing against any of it, I just personally don't drink or smoke.
It has nothing to do with religion or my opinions on right and wrong. It doesn't bother me at all if someone next to me is drinking or smoking, and in my entire life, I have never once shamed anyone for it, that is a strict rule of mine lol
Anyway, at the party, all my friends got a little tipsy. We were chatting, walked the streets in the evening, laughing and joking, and just had a great time overall, and then we all went home like normal.
I didn't notice anything awkward in their behaviour it was just a typical party for people our age. I enjoyed myself, and it seemed to me like my friends were having fun too.
And then today, I receive those chats
I am VERY mad about these accusationsf. As far as I'm concerned, all this holier than thou (which pisses me off as well) bs starts at the moment you try to "educate" other people, which is something I have never done and never want to do. Everyone can live however they want.
Honestly, her accusations made me sad. They seem baseless and aggressive.
But now that I'm thinking about it, maybe it really was uncomfortable for the girls to be drunk around a sober person? I guess it's possible, but it just doesn't feel like the right explanation to me.
If I were some random man for example, their anxiety would be easy to understand. But I've known them for at least a couple of years, and I even went to the same high school with some of them, so their lack of trust in me doesn't make much sense.
Could I be in the wrong here? AIO?
AIO? My boyfriend sent me a meme implying spending time with me is boring compared to his homies
My bf (M21) and I (F19) are together since our second year of high school.
He sent me a meme that said, "most entertaining night with your gf" showing a happy girl and a very bored guy lying on a bed doing absolutely nothing. Then it said, "least entertaining night with your bro" followed by a compilation of videos of guys doing crazy stuff (jumping on tables, accidentally hitting each other, jumping onto a trampoline from a roof, gambling, etc)
I didn't really appreciate that and took it to mean that the time we spend together is boring for him and that he doesn't enjoy it. To be fair, we really don't do much. He comes over and we play video games together, or I paint my models while he's on his phone, and we just cuddle and chat. It really doesn't sound that amazing, but I thought it was enough for us. We are both introverts who spend a lot of time at home, and he has never complained about being bored
His implication that his homies are more interesting than his girlfriend is just obnoxious to me. my blood boils just thinking about it...like...
People have always told me how interesting and funny to be around I am and I was proud of that.
We were friends for several years before our relationship started, and I always thought that was the ideal way to get together, getting closer slowly without even planning it. LIKE, I USED TO BE ONE OF THE HOMIES. But I guess it doesn't really matter now, lol.
I don't really know what to think...maybe I'm asking for too much? My mom said that this is normal behavior for young guys. But I still feel bad about this whole situation. I truly don't know if I should take his meme seriously...
