Transfer of Care

Transfer of Care

I’m transferring from GenderGP to Plus and I have been told that I need to book an appointment with Aiden Kelly to confirm my diagnosis even though I have a letter of diagnosis from Carla Dukas and have been on Hormones for almost 2 years

Will Carla’s letter be sufficient or do I need to pay someone to tell me “yes lady who has been on HRT for two years I think you are trans” in order to transfer to Gender Plus?

Edit: - I’ve also been told that I need to be registered with a UK GP and I’m not too sure on how to do that.

The Government

Personally I have had bad experience when it comes to my local GP and to the best of my knowledge Trans Healthcare is not seen as a priority or anywhere near it in Ireland.

When do you think this will change?

also what do you think will be the best thing that could come from a more well rounded healthcare system when it comes to the LGBTQIA+ community?

I’m tired of feeling like Transitioning is a loosing battle when it comes to support from government that I work for.

Anyway sorry for the baldy worded post.

Looking to make connections as I’ve come to realize I am perpetually alone. My transition hasn’t really being going well so I’m kind of stealth, this might be the wrong sub to post too.

Galway area.

You reap what you sow.

There is no happiness for me as I am full of envy, jealousy and self pity, Everything that I am is my own doing, I have pushed everyone away and due to my anxiety and self pity I am alone. But I have to live with this and that is only right.

I’ve never been good with friendships or relationships and seeing everyone move forward and embracing the rewards of their own success and hard work has made me even more jealous and angry at myself.

I think I saw two of you today cycling I would have once called you both friends, and even if it was only a brief moment of viewing you both cycle and be happy I can’t stop spiraling.

I’ve wanted to be forgotten and this is the result of it , this is my own doing. I’ve been in talks with my therapist about euthanasia and the release that would give me. But it would hurt my family and that is the only reason that I can’t.

I wish I could and that is selfish. But the pain doesn’t stop it doesn’t get easier to carry, it just remains like an open wound that cripples me every time.

I reap what I sow, I understand that, I can’t stop thinking of ways to end it all. Making a plan is the step that I am thinking about but the result is always the same sadly, it hurts the people I care about the most.

The idea of self harm is also there but I can’t go back to that.

I have failed, I can’t keep living with the mind that I have as it is too crippling. I just wish I wasn’t a coward and could follow through.

But still I am happy that everyone is moving on with their lives and that I have been left as I wanted to begin with, I am a leach that given the chance will try to drain you of all happiness.

A bad friend and just a failed human being.

My life if I continue to live it will always be this way as it’s how I am wired. So I will have to make an important decision.

Thank you for leaving me alone, it’s truly the best decision for both of us.

Advice

I’m trans-feminine and I have to go without HRT for the next two weeks, I can resume after but I’m worried about the idea going without it.

I’ve been transitioning medically for almost two years.

When I resume I will be taking a Prostap 11.25 mg injection which can spike my remaining t-levels initially and then level out again so it will kinda be like 3-weeks before my Estrogen levels recoup.

Are there any super major terrible things that could happen?

Also where is the best place to look for groups and constant lgtbtqia+ activities that are happening near to Galway or limerick??

I’m a shut-in and need to find my people.

HSELand?

Has anyone else that works in healthcare made a complaint to the Hse about the absolute state of there mandatory training and education platform?

It’s a joke especially if you don’t own a laptop or computer.

I have spent the past few hours trying to complete one course on Infection Prevention and the website won’t even let me sign in to do the course anymore.

Let alone the fact that most of the people that do these courses and work within the Hse dont get TOiL from doing these courses and each course can take from 30min-1.5hrs to complete, Thats if you can sign Into the website to begin with.
