Their methods differ, but their emotional logic is nearly identical.

I genuinely believe kindness could solve world hunger, climate change, depression and all forms of war

It could be advice, criticism or a question that leaves them thinking. A well thought out statement would be appreciated

This post was written with some emotion behind so please forgive me it seems attacking but I truly am frustrated

I was born and raised christian I recently realized that my country has been westernized, and that we only have our language left. I wanted to understand our history pre-colonisation, and what I read disturbed me. They came into the land and labeled our traditions as pagan and our ancestors as evil gods. This thought was so deep ingrained within us we lost the practices we used to mourn the dead, we adopted modern marriage. Almost all culture except the instrumental tools we used have been lost. They made us hate the people who even try to mantain it by labeling them "witches" in our language.

It not even that the practices were bloody or harmful they were just different and therefore labeled as demonic. No typical "evil" goat symbols, no snake worship.

I understand all this and yet I can't bring myself to hate Christianity. I was raised christian so my biases still show even when I understand it's not all true. I'm still scared of anything "witchy" because I was taught to associate it with bad.

This was more of a rant but I trully do want to start with a fresh mindset. Are there any books or material I can read to truly understand what paganism is?

I’ve been thinking about how much of who we are is truly “us.” We are shaped by our environment, our experiences, our wounds, our relationships, and the beliefs we inherit, so where does free will begin? If every decision is influenced by something that happened before, then, in theory, perhaps a person’s future choices could be predicted if we understood what shaped them well enough. But would a predictable decision be any less meaningful, or could freedom exist in the way we respond to the things that shaped us? This also makes me question whether everyone is equally capable of change. People often say that anyone can become better, but what if the ability to change is itself shaped by upbringing, personality, and circumstance? Some people are taught how to reflect and grow, while others are never given the emotional tools to do so. Even realising that you need to change may not be enough if you have never learned how to turn self-awareness into action.If it was never in you to begin with you can never change. We also expect perfection from the people we admire, even though history repeatedly shows us that human beings are full of contradictions. Gandhi fought against injustice, yet he expressed racist views toward Black Africans during his time in South Africa. Martin Luther King Jr. helped lead a movement for equality, yet he was also unfaithful in his marriage. Mother Teresa dedicated her life to helping the poor, yet her organisation and methods were criticised over the quality of care, financial transparency, and her views on suffering and religion. These examples do not mean that their achievements should be ignored, but they do force us to ask whether a person’s flaws should erase everything meaningful they ever did. My favourite artist once said, “Why can’t you prosecute the crimes and not the thoughts I employ?” it questions whether people should be judged for their actions, or condemned for their thoughts, impulses, and private contradictions as well. It also connects to the line, “My purpose for living made no difference to you; the moment it died, I had to die too.” I see this as meaning that when something bad about a person is revealed, the good they once did seems to die in the public’s eyes too. This is the logic behind cancel culture: one flaw, mistake, belief, or controversy can cause people to rewrite a person’s entire history as if none of their positive actions ever mattered. But is that justice, or is it simply our desire to turn complicated human beings into heroes and villains? Maybe the real challenge is learning to hold two truths at once: someone can do great things and still possess serious flaws; they can be shaped by their past without being completely controlled by it; and they can be responsible for their actions without being reduced entirely to their worst moment. So, can we judge the crime without judging the entire person, or are we so obsessed with perfection that the moment someone falls, we decide they were never worth admiring at all?

Very new to my faith 9 moths since baptism, as I've read I have noticed more passages condemning what I inherently love doing as a human. Is it essentially a guide on how to live in Christ and be disciplined

Please be forgiving and understand I have no formal education on philosophy nor is english my first language.

I'm failing to truly judge all situations from an open perspective without judging some actions as "bad". I can fully understand what lead one party to the situation that they are in and agree that I would follow the same path but I personally disagree with the actions.

To see things objectively do I have to be schizoid.

Please understand I'm really not trying to come with any bad faith🙇🏾‍♂️ I completely understand that it's a very natural process. Few days back I was with my partner, she woke up next morning saying she felt her period coming(I don't think she had planned to sleep over). Went to the store and got her stuff and later noticed a spot on the bed. I made a joke which thinking about it later might've been insensitive. I sometimes try to defuse situations by making corny lame jokes. My question is should I have reassured her better without making fun of the situation and should I apologise now.

We had burgers earlier so I said something along the lines of me being a messy eater because of the burgers and blah blah blah

If possible could I please get a meal or some items from my wish list.
