Grunt BBC?

Was reading Ghosts of Onyx and this Grunt won a file of BBC.

Is this something in lore or is it like the British Broadcasting Channel? I heard grunts did enjoy human media so just curious.

Please read the Fabius trilogy!

The title spells it out.

The Fabius trilogy is a nice set of 40k books. My favorite 40k trilogy.

They are full of such great characters, interesting lore, and some neat locations. Not to mention written by Josh Reynolds who I consider one of my favorite Warhammer authors.

Some Spoilers ahead.

Sublime-

Alright so, in the first book we are introduced to this place called Sublime. It's a planet frozen mid explosion with a warpstorm bleeding into its core.

A massive black market called Black Golan is on it. Chaos forces, Renegades, and Xenos come here to trade and barter.

Even see Eldar Corsairs on it. Not Dark Eldar but actual Corsairs.

There is also a place you can trade memories. One EC character trades his memory of seeing the Emperor for the memories of a Commoragh pit slave.

Tell me that wouldn't be such a cool setting for an anthology book? A massive black market with scheming chaos lords, Xenos Pirates, thieves, etc. It would be a neat setting for say a TTRPG even.

New Humans-

I found the new humans to be really interesting. Fabius' attempts to remake humanity. Trying to make them immune to chaos and better than the standard human. A new step in evolution.

It shows an aspect of Fabius I quite like. Despite being a very cynical person, he is still an idealist deep down. He wants humanity to succeed and grow even if he is a crazy monster.

Arrian Zorzi-

The right hand man of Fabius. His loyal hound. A former world eater apothecary and one of the best characters in my opinion.

He has had several surgeries and encouraged by Fabius to take up hobbies like Botany to help combat the pull of the Butcher's Nails.

Also in the third book he's on a hunting trip with some New Humans and they call him "Uncle Arrian"

Emperor's Children-

Surprise, yeah it's juicy.

We get to see many different Emperor's Children characters and many different philosophies.

As well as neat obsessions. Such as Emperor's Children who have an obsession with loyalty, swearing himself to a individual be it mortal or a fellow EC. That they will serve.

We also get Emperor's Children who long for the legion of old. For Brotherhood and discipline again. That seek to recreate that only for them to fail or be crushed.

Then we have those that see no hope. They see the Emperor's Children on the door step of oblivion. Nihilists that give into their obsessions and addictions to escape from this reality.

And we see those who want to be heroes again. Those who seek to be a light in the dark. To fight against terror for the sake of mankind.

The Consortium-

The Consortium is just cool. A collection of Apothecaries from the traitor legions and renegade chapters seeking to learn from Fabius.

A brotherhood of very different individuals united by discovery and innovation. They are an interesting brotherhood of many funny dudes.

That Titan Princeps-

In the third book there is a Titan Princeps Fabius is friends with. He is nearly custodes size and hairy. His titan is covered in the still living pelts of greater daemons.

Fabius made a throne from him that let him dominate a gaggle of Warhound Titans. In exchange he gave Fabius a massive table made from the skull of a Space Leviathan.

There is so much more. But I just wanted to ramble about these books and how I love them. While also pointing out some interesting stuff about them.

I think they are fun and emotional at times. I really just want more people to look into them and see if they love them as much as I do.
