This is a problem I am discussing this moment with Gemini. I want to notate pitch with numbers on the stave rather than use clefs, pitch letters, five lines and four spaces, key sigs and accidentals. We started with a printable pdf of four lines marked S. A. T. B. so I can notate my numbers directly on the paper and utilize standard time notations. Trouble is that I cannot communicate with Gemini but by scanning the sheets.

Is anyone else dealing with this problem? The best notation I have now is general. I recorded the numbers I want and I notate them in the field at the top of the track. I want to get some more precise notation and performance as I experiment with JI.

Hi. Got to this place from a recommendation by Gemini. I would like to compose with whole number tones and wonder if there are packages of these available? If not, do you have the tools for generating tones on any number in the audible range? I need whole numbers from 1 to whatever? Does it stop at 20khz? Thank you.

Title says it all. I am interested in finding whole number tones that have been built from the ground up. Like built up from whole number sine waves. I am willing to construct additions to the library. I am interested in the possibility of composing with pure math rather than with the old system of keys and accidentals. Gemini recommended r/microtonal and the rest is history!

I am familiar with the math and just produced my first tone recently. I am using an inverted multiplication table as a grand staff for now but I have a long way to go to produce a whole number composition.

A note about the table: The numbers all represent tones in hertz. I flipped the table so the bass is on the bottom. Obviously the table will have to extend up to 20k. Right now I would be happy to work in regions of tonic 20hz or tonic 100hz. My first constructed tone is 100hz so that can be used in both the "keys" of 100 or 20, it's function varying with the context.

I built this tone from whole number sine wave using audacity. I have a package of 20k whole number sine waves. I got these by having Gemini code and then i just ran the code in my Linux terminal and it put the 20k files on my desktop.

I referred to the first row of the simplest digits in constructing the 100hz tone. I may have only achieved the 8th or 9th harmonic and stopped to balance them. I suppose I should finish up to the 16th harmonic? If someone has a 200hz tone, that will give me the 8ve. If there is no library, let's build one.

In order to compose in 100hz, just transpose this table up 100x.
