Best phones I've used as of July 2026

Two phones I've tried this year that genuinely feel like silk on my eyes.

- Honor 600/600 Pro

- Motorola Edge 2026

Both of these phones genuinely feel like I'm using a regular LCD screen with no gimmicks. If you're in the USA, and don't feel like importing a phone, get the Motorola. If you're anywhere else, get the Honor 600 or 600 Pro.

Obviously the Honor 600 Pro will be the best, hardware wise, but unfortunately for us in the USA, our device accessibility is limited.

I currently have the Motorola Signature shipping in, and should be here within the next week - week and a half. Hoping this phone feels the same as the Edge 2026, since the hardware is substantially better, and only $100 more.

Package marked as delivered, refurbisher says not delivered

Delivered yesterday to the address that was on the shipping label. I got a message from the refurbisher saying it wasn't delivered, and not customer support is having to look into it.

Anyone else experienced this? How is it delivered, but not delivered??

Neo 2 shutter speed

So I received my Neo 2, and discovered I can't control the shutter speed because DJI locked it behind a controller. Are there any work arounds or any negatives to not using the 180 rule?

Honor 600 Pro

I've been using the 600 Pro for a few days now, and I can say after staring at it intentionally for 4-6 hours straight:

This phone is phenomenal on the eyes. 100% cannot recommend it enough.

Advantages vs disadvantages?

Currently using a Vivo x200 Ultra, absolutely love this phone but using a Chinese ROM is limiting in the US, I want a phone that's more secure, not sending/selling my info, etc. and I want a phone that I can repair easily, while also being able to load CFW on it. Cannot do that w the Vivo sadly.

I see there's a custom ROM available for the Oneplus 15r, it's unofficial though so Idk.

Just wondering what the big ups and downs are for running LineageOS, vs Oxygen OS, Origin OS, etc

AITA for wanting to leave businesses before closing?

So my wife has this group of "friends" (coworkers who all talk shi* about each other behind each others backs but alright) and once a month they/we meet up to have dinner at a restaurant of one persons choosing. (I come with my wife, because she's my wife and we both actually enjoy being around each other).

Well, I've noticed a trend, where someone will pick a restaurant, and not do any research of when they close, menu, how big the tables are, etc. We've met up about 8 times now, and each and every time we always meet up about an hour to an hour and a half before the place closes. Now this isn't what the real issue is, the real issue is that they want to stay until the exact second somewhere closes.

A bit of background: Everyone in this group works in retail, so everyone in this group should know how much of an asshole you are, if you're the last customer there and making everyone else have to stay because of you.

I'm the only person in this group who's worked in a restaurant, so I know how much MORE it is to close up for the night vs just closing a retail business. In a restaurant, if you come in the last hour, not only do you get the "left overs" of the day, but you also are tying up everyone else from being able to leave, if you're just sitting at the table. The bussers have to sweep/mop/bus your table, and your general area. The kitchen can't leave until you checkout because they're not allowed to, just in case you order something else, and if you do they have to cook something else and dirty up the dishes they already cleaned. The dishwashers have to wait because they have to clean everything you have on your table, and your server can't leave because they still have to count down.

The last 3-4 times we've gone out, I try to leave at least 15-10 minutes before closing MINIMUM, because I'm trying to respect the people working, and I'm trying to actually be a decent human being.

However, everyone else in the group makes fun of me, and purposely tries to piss me off because they know I don't want to be the last people there, or make the staff have to wait for us to leave.

A few nights ago when we went out, it was 20 minutes till closing, everyone finished their food, etc, and I was asking for the check so we could actually leave on time. The group I was with decided it'd be funny to order appetizers, and more drinks. Not because they wanted them, but because they knew it'd piss me off. When I said something, two of the guys in the group asked why I was so upset, and I said "we're being assholes". Then the guy pointed to two other people eating in the restaurant and said "Oh so are they assholes too then?!" and I said "Yes, and so are we".

I try to respect peoples time, be mindful of others around me, but it just feels like my wife's coworkers are a bunch of arrogant, self-centered, pricks. What's upsetting too, is I try to surround myself with others who are respectful, but my wife doesn't see any issue with these people.

X200 Ultra meow

Still amazed that this is my phone taking photos, and not a dedicated camera. Holding off for next year's model, or the one after that, and man am I excited to see how much better it'll be.
