Hypothetical: How would guys handle waiting until 40 for a relationship ?
Aristotle claimed that the ideal age of marriage was 42 for men and 18 for women, Jung claimed that life begins at 40 and a lot of people today claim that age gap relationships are optimal. However in that case, lets assume a hypothetical scenario for intellectual honesty. Lets say that every guy stays sexless until 40 when he marries and 18-24 year old woman, no loopholes or it would be intelectually dishonest for the people that defend this argument.
Both Jung and Aristotle were intelligent, however what I fail to comprehend here is the psychological impact that this prolonged unfulfilled hope would create, it would be mentally simpler for younger men to give up the hope to mate and let go off the frustration that comes with the destruction of their ego, the ego could potentially not be able to take zero reward, rejection and witness other men do what you want while unable to act on it for 20 years straight.
This makes no sense for the male ego to chase status and power for 20 years with no reward while being reminded of its inferiority simply to chase a distant romantic goal, I might just be dumb but I cannot understand the answer to this hypothetical, maybe you guys could explain the psychology behind that better in the comments.
