Hello fellow retro enthusiasts, i just got my first Rp4 and i'm looking to fit it inside a CRT TV.

From my research i found out that one does not simply use the Retroarch inside Emulationstation, the ES handles it.

So my question is if i can somehow make it so that games switch from 240p to 480i on the go.

Also in regards of analog output, i know that i can use the TRRS Jack to output analog, but im more intetested into outputting via Scart.

I know there is a VGA666 HAT, and i have my own DIY VGA to Scart adapter(where i combine the HV sync into one), but is there any difference in using a VGA666 over a quality HDMI2VGA adapter from Startech and from then on using the scart cable to output?

I get 3.3V on the standby, it's a 1.2-1.5v PAL Xbox with a Delta PSU, i replaced the caps with Rubycon mbz. There is a brown spot on the PSU, i don't know if its been there, the resistor around that brown area reads 47kohms. The brown spot does warm up. How should i proceed?

Hey y'all, i just bought a OG Xbox that was sold as defective but ended up working, however the DVD-ROM isn't reading games(it's opening the tray just fine and spinning just fine). I opened it up and removed the clock cap that has already spilled and cleaned it.

The CPU VRM caps are bulging and i intent to replace them but besides that the board and the case are pristine. I'm asking if the DVD-ROM might not be working due to the bulging VRM caps and if no, what else can i do?, i tweaked the pot from 1700 to 1250 to no avail, i also cleaned the laser. The insides of the DVD ROM look pristine as well.

The Xbox is a 1.2-1.5v?(caps are 3300uf, 6.3v nichicon), PAL, it was already softmodded, the manufacturing date is 2003-08-07, it has a Thomson Drive.

I just got a PS3 Slim 2504A with code 0C, i tried using ps3toolset, after it loads and i switch to the system tab i get an error saying that the tool could not be downloaded. The PS3 is on OFW 4.91, any ideas how to make it work?

I should add that i already tried to use http instead of https, but the browser switches to https after i hit search, i also deleted cookies, search history, authentication info and cache. I tried both wired, wireless and hotspot from my phone. I tried rebooting the console as well.

How can i go about it?

Over on CRT Database it says it supports sync over CSYNC but i can't find anything in the user manual and neither in the service manual. Does anybody knows whether i can feed the C-Sync over VGA pin 13? The reason i'm asking is because i've made VGA cables for my consoles using the LM1881 to separate the sync, but everything over 480p has issues.

I thought this is where im supposed to take the photos, i've been wandering around that bridge from 4AM to 8AM to no avail, isnt that the location, am i missing something?, is this a bug?
