My favorite thing about the 996 is the size of the platform. It rotates so well, it’s easy to place and engaging in ways its successors aren’t. 🏁

I’m still missing a small adjustment spring and hope to find one (someday) but I’m thrilled to say after reading another Redditor’s experience of popping the knob on and having good results- Its working just fine 💯 I guess having one spring is enough for the bottom adjustment switch, because it’s moving perfectly. 🙏

Good news ~ Seat is back in one piece, plastic refinishing went well and the cushion looks & feels great. Like a new car.

Bad news ~ I had to adjust the bottom seat control and upon taking out the adjustment knob, one of the two springs went FLYING. 🤬

I know how hard these are to come by. Could really use some help from the community on this one. 😭 if anyone has one or an extra broken switch please let me know- Porsche doesn’t sell this silly spring by itself.
