Recall the Midwife Podcast

Just wondering if anyone else is listening to/has listened to this. I started it years ago, got distracted, and just got back into it. If you haven't listened, I highly recommend it. 2 British fans and one American (who met at university) are the hosts. It's insightful, thoughtful, funny, and very entertaining.

Sugar Plum Murdoch

My '90s teenage self was THRILLED to see Dave Foley and Scott Thompson in this episode! And the line about getting the kids out of the hall cracked me up. Loved everything about this episode from the music to the costumes to the set design. So fun and festive. I'm adding this episode to my annual Christmas watch list.

Season 19

>!Does anyone wish George and Effie had gotten a better/more believable ending? I just thought the sudden divorce and the reason for it came out of nowhere. Like, they never discussed this issue beforehand? George was always looking fir a woman who was as dedicated to her career as she was her romantic partner. He found that perfect combo in Effie.!<

Peeled Cauliflower

Does anyone remember one of these fundies doing a cooking video where they said something about peeling a cauliflower? I was chopping one yesterday and had a vague recollection, but the details escape me.

How Did They Meet Their Spouses?

With the isolation that comes with being a Rodrigues, I'm really curious as to how the kids have been paired up with their "courters" or (eventually) spouses. I assume there's a lot of matchmaking efforts by parents, but how much say do the kids have when it comes to courting/marrying? I can't imagine that any of these couples have come together organically - meeting, becoming friends, building a relationship over time, and eventually marrying. If anyone has any insight on this, I'd greatly appreciate learning more about it.

Pastelon Recipes, Please

Basically what the title says. Would love some tried-and-true recipes for pastelon. It's one of my favorite dishes, but i just haven't found THE recipe yet, if you know what i mean. I'm not afraid of a little extra work if it pays off in flavor. Thank you in advance.

Ideas to Use Up Frozen Burgers

I have an overload of frozen burgers at the moment - a few shrimp burgers and a heck of a lot of chicken burgers. I'm looking for creative ideas to use these - other than just putting them on a bun. I am not at all picky and would appreciate any suggestions you may have. Thanks so much!
