How do you like to be approached for a date in Punjab, India?

Hi everyone, especially the women here.

I'm a 24-year-old guy from Punjab, India. I've never been in a relationship, and honestly, I've never talked to women much either. Because of that, I have almost no dating experience.

I'm not looking for hookups or casual flings. My goal is to find one genuine, successful relationship, and I'd really appreciate some honest advice.

\- What makes you feel comfortable when a guy asks you out?

\- What makes you say yes to a first date?

\- What are the biggest red flags?

\- Would you prefer being asked in person, on Instagram, or through mutual friends?

\- If you could give one piece of advice to someone like me who's completely new to dating in Punjab, what would it be?

Please be kind—I'm genuinely trying to learn and become better at this. Thanks in advance for your advice!

Looking for a serious Business Analyst mentor who can help me break into my first BA role

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a mentor who is willing to guide someone who is genuinely committed to becoming a Business Analyst.

A little about me:

24 years old from India

Background in web development (WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

Currently pursuing an MBA with a specialization in Data Analytics & MIS

Actively learning Business Analysis (requirements gathering, BPMN, UML, user stories, Agile, SQL, etc.)

My biggest challenge isn't motivation—it's direction. There are so many resources online that I'm not sure what I should learn first or what skills companies actually expect from a junior Business Analyst.

I'm not asking for referrals or shortcuts.

I'm looking for someone who can:

Review my learning roadmap

Give me practical tasks or mini-projects

Tell me when I'm doing something wrong

Help me build skills that employers actually value

Keep me accountable as I prepare for my first Junior/Associate BA role

I also want to be transparent: I'm currently not in a financial position to pay for mentoring. If you're willing to help someone who's serious, hardworking, and committed to learning, I'd be incredibly grateful. Once I'm established in my career, I hope to pay that kindness forward.

In return, I'll respect your time, complete every assignment you give me, and put in the work. I'm ready to learn consistently and take constructive feedback.

If you're an experienced Business Analyst, Product Owner, Product Manager, or someone who has successfully transitioned into BA, I'd really appreciate your guidance.

Feel free to comment or send me a DM.

Thank you for reading!

Looking for Junior Business Analyst opportunities in the Netherlands (visa sponsorship)

Hi everyone,

I'm from India and I'm trying to transition into a Business Analyst career. I'm looking for Junior/Associate Business Analyst opportunities in the Netherlands that offer visa sponsorship.

A bit about me:

Bachelor's in Computer Science

Currently pursuing an MBA in Business Analytics & Management Information Systems (MIS)

Almost 3 years of experience in web development, where I worked with clients, gathered requirements, and delivered projects

Currently building my BA skills in SQL, Power BI, BPMN, Agile, and requirements documentation

I know the Dutch job market is tough right now, especially for non-EU candidates, so I'm not expecting anything to be easy. I'm mainly looking for advice from people who have gone through the process or know companies that are open to hiring international candidates.

If you've made a similar move, I'd really appreciate hearing how you did it, or if you know of companies that sponsor junior Business Analysts.

Thanks in advance!

I am a hardworking, reliable, and motivated person, ready to relocate and start work as soon as possible. If you know of any companies that are hiring or have any advice, I would greatly appreciate your help.

Thank you!

Unemployed after 2.8 years as a WordPress Web Designer Pursuing an MBA and looking for guidance to transition into Business Analysis?

Hi everyone, I'm currently unemployed after working for 2.8 years as a WordPress Web Designer. During that time, I worked with clients, gathered requirements, translated business needs into websites, communicated with stakeholders, solved problems, and delivered projects. Those experiences made me realize that I'm more interested in understanding business problems and finding solutions than just building websites. I'm also currently pursuing my MBA, and I want to use this opportunity to transition into a Business Analyst career.

The challenge is that I don't know anyone personally who works as a Business Analyst.

There are countless courses, certifications, roadmaps, and opinions online, and it's difficult to know what actually matters to employers.

Maybe this sounds a little inspired by anime, but I've always admired the mentor–student relationship where someone experienced helps a beginner avoid unnecessary mistakes and grow in the right direction. That's the kind of guidance I'm hoping to find.

I'm not asking someone to teach me everything or spend hours with me every day. I respect that everyone has their own responsibilities. What I'm looking for is someone who would be willing to:

Answer occasional questions when I get stuck. Tell me if I'm focusing on the wrong topics. Suggest practical skills and projects that employers actually value.

Give honest feedback on my resume, portfolio, or case studies from time to time.

Share lessons from their own journey into Business Analysis.

In return, I promise to put in the work myself. I'm treating my career transition like a full-time job. I'm committed to studying, building projects, improving my communication, learning SQL, Excel, documentation, process mapping, Agile, and creating a portfolio that demonstrates real Business Analysis skills.

If you've successfully transitioned into Business Analysis or have experience in the field, I'd really appreciate your advice.

Some questions I have are:

If you were starting over today, what would you learn first?

Which skills helped you land your first BA role?

What beginner mistakes should I avoid?

Which projects or case studies would make my portfolio stand out?

Are there communities, books, or resources you wish you'd found earlier?

Would anyone be open to mentoring me or letting me occasionally ask questions as I work toward this career?

Even if mentoring isn't possible, I'd be grateful for any advice, criticism, roadmap, or words of encouragement.

Thank you for reading, and I hope to give back to this community one day by helping someone else who's starting the same journey.
