Second photo was the main reference used. Most other “references” came in the form of TikTok and YouTube tutorials
Haven’t drawn (or at least finished) anything in over a year. Art style has changed drastically since then, so I, unfortunately, don’t have any other photos to use as an example at the moment. I’m looking to improve tho, so what should I set my sights on improving upon?

Characters design changed vastly because they were repurposed for different lore lol

Second photo was finished today (September of 2026)

Only reference used was a 3d modeled base for the posing of the body. Tried finding one for the face, but I couldn’t find any that looked similar to what I was going for

My mc has went through 4 names in the time it took to write 5 chapters. Name 1 sounded too similar to a side character. Name 2 was the name of a minor character I forgot about in the existing series. Name 3 sounded out of place in the world. Name 4 just started sounding bad after writing it 10 times. Name 5 will likely be changed soon too :p

I plan to pull her his signature weapon when he reruns, so the current weapon is just a placeholder till then

What do we think?

I enjoy the white a bit more than the darker, but everytime I look at it in any of these, something throws me off and I can’t figure out what. You’re welcome to pick from these, give me other alternatives to these colors, or change the whole color palette up entirely. I’m open to basically anything lol.
