What Robotech opinion do you hold, that will get you like this?

It could be about the story, the characters, your own personal head-canon: whatever it is, let's hear them!
Any reccs for Zutara fanfics that end up being canon compliant?
Hello, I always felt Zutara was more believable during the actual events of Avatar: The Last Airbender than Kataang, although I can see them eventually getting together post the show ending (if I squint hard enough. Like I can see what the writers were going for, I just think they didn't quite pull it off, please don't downvote me to oblivion).
Anyone has recommendations for fics where Zutara gets together and then break up and it's eventually Kataang?
Weren't the other members of the Fellowship eligible to "sail West"?
I was on a rewatch of the movies and it got me wondering. All the members of the Fellowship of the Ring also suffered much to help destroy the Ring (though, clearly, none as much as Frodo)
Were they not eligible for the same exemption that Frodo & Bilbo received? Or were they eligible but chose not to go? Do the books / Tolkein ever say?
[Shameless self plug] My Scott/Ariel fanfics
Hello! Ever since I saw the original show (ahem, decades ago), I'd been waiting for a happy ending for Scott/Ariel, and I wasn't really a fan of how Shadow Chronicles handled it. It felt too easy and pat, considering their history, but I can imagine the writers would have been limited by the movie runtime. (I super-loathed their ending in EoTC, but that's a whole other thing)
So I figured, why not just roll my own?
Do note these are character study style fics, so basically light on details of the larger RT universe. If this sounds interesting to you (and you are one of the dozen remaining NG fans in the wild :')) do take a look!
- Robotech: The New Generation tells us a romance blossomed between Scott & Ariel as they journeyed together on the road to Reflex Point, but it happens almost entirely off-screen. We are never shown what brought them together. This story attempts to flesh out how a relationship could grow between Scott, grieving and laser focused on his mission, and Ariel, newly human, painstakingly building her sense of self. Mainly focused on Scott/Ariel, with some bonus cameos from the rest of the gang: The Road To Reflex Point
- His mission is over, Earth is free. But as Scott Bernard prepares to leave for the off-world base ALUCE, he knows he also leaves behind Ariel, the Invid princess who stayed back on Earth when her people left. They love each other, even though neither of them can say it out loud. He is a man made of grief and duty, she is newly human, still learning who she is. This is the story of what it takes for two people separated by a chasm of grief and war to be able to finally choose each other: To Live In This World, You Must Be Able to Do Three Things
How dead fandom/niche fandom writers feel seeing y'all talking about scam comments
Meanwhile me refreshing my AO3 page over here: *crickets*.... 🥲
What's your favourite scene to use to introduce Wodehouse to a newbie?
Mine is this excerpt from Something New. IMO, it's a perfect example of the kind of absurd comedy that Plum does so well, and it's never failed to reel folks in!
Honestly, I've re-read it a million times, and I still catch myself randomly recollecting "a pleasant time was being had by all" and giggling :)
(Edit: images didn't get uploaded the first time, somehow)
Who is the worst LMM leading man and why is it Teddy?
(I kid, I kid. Of course Dean Priest is the worst-worst.)
This grew out of a comment I was going to make on this post :)
I'd done a reread of Emily recently and I was struck again at how completely... bland Teddy seems to be? Unlike Gilbert & Barney, where the reader can see why Anne & Valancy are attracted to them. (In Anne's case, even before she is aware of it)
This seems particularly odd, considering, as others have mentioned, that Emily is the heroine that LMM said was most like herself. So in that case, I wonder why she made Teddy so anodyne? I would have thought she would have fleshed him out much more as a sort of wish fulfilment. Imo, the most interesting thing about him is his controlling mother.
Am I missing something? Do you like Teddy as a love interest? Why / why not?
Looking for a Granny Weatherwax quote / description from the books
Unfortunately, I don't remember anything of the exact quote, just that the gist was something like "Granny disliked people and that's why she helped them / did the right thing by them."
Does anyone else remember this, or am I just imagining it :/
Did any other Tirolian defect to Earth's side, apart from Musica?
I'm writing a fanfic set in the New Gen timeline and was wondering how the average joe would react to the idea of Invid/Human intermarriage.
We know that Max/Miriya is probably well known, and more Zentraedi have defected since, so it's plausible inter-marriages between humans & Zentraedi is pretty common by now. But what about the Tirolians?
My recollection of the Robotech Masters saga is quite rusty, is it ever suggested that more Tirolians defected during / after the war?
My first post, with bonus image
Totoro looks pleased with this progress.
