“I never wanted kids but now that I’m a parent I love it” how true is this?

I have always felt that I do not want to have children but I do like to read and reflect upon this decision every now and then because I want to make sure I am making the right choice.

I’ve been reading/hearing about stories where parents say that they’ve always been childfree but either got pregnant accidentally or by being pressured into it. And they say that now that experienced mother/fatherhood, it is the best thing ever, they never knew this kind of love… etc.

This got me thinking, how do I know I am not this kind of childfree person that will end up loving being a mother?

For now, I’d rather regret not having kids than regret having them. So I didn’t change my mind about it. But it’s just a thought, open for your thoughts and experiences.

Best gyms in Dubai?

I’m getting bored of my community’s gym and decided to try a different gym.

What are the best gyms around Dubai, and what makes them better than the regular gyms? Any suggestions? Forget about fees, as long as I can pay to subscribe I’m ok.

How did you find your DINK partner?

I am single and my biggest dating challenge has been finding someone who is childfree.

I know there is no recipe on finding a partner and it depends on luck and probably where you live, but I’d like to hear other people’s stories on how they met and how you figured out that both of you are into this lifestyle?

Those who chose to eventually have kids, how?

I never wanted to have kids and I still don’t (I’m 31F now), but I wish I did. I live somewhere where being childfree is still not very accepted, and I had so many potential relationships end because of this.

When I see a pregnant woman all I think of is pain, sacrifice and discomfort. When I see a family with kids all I see is responsibility, and lack of freedom. I don’t see the happiness and love everyone talks about.

How can I change this mentality? How can I become normal? Has anyone been in my shoes before, changed their mind and is happy with kids now?

How did you finally make up your mind?

I don’t want to have kids. But I am worried about the regret and loneliness that might come when I am older. I don’t know the reason why I don’t want kids, maybe its because I didn’t have a loving childhood?

So my question is, how did you make sure you made/are making the right decision? I am in my 30s and realize this is a choice I need to make soon.

How do I find the right type of therapy?

I live somewhere where therapy is still a bit of a taboo, and a lot of people don’t believe in it (including me a few years ago). I think I want to try therapy for something but I have no idea how or where to go.

Background:
I never wanted to have children, I don’t really know the reason. Maybe because I didn’t have a happy childhood, I didn’t feel loved and I don’t want to experience this again?
This is making my life and relationships harder. So I would like to fully understand my reasoning and be able to make a firm decision. And I think therapy might help?

Can anyone help me with what kind of therapy/therapist should I look for, and I think I would prefer an online therapist.

How am I supposed to get in a relationship if I can’t handle a small breakup?

I am 31 and have never been in a relationship until this year. I met a guy (M32) on an app, we had so much in common and he treated me well so we decided to make it official after a month.

This relationship lasted 3 months, with a big part of it being long distance. He ended up over differences in our life plans, which I saw coming. All of this to show that it was barely a proper relationship.

Yet I’ve been crying about it and been in a bad mood all day. I see people breakup after years of being together and I am honestly starting to think I am not made for relationships if this is how I will be after a short 3 months relationship. What will happen to me if I get into a longer relationship and we breakup? Why am I weak and how do I make myself care less about this?

Should I invest all my ‘leftover’ money?

Let’s say I have ~100k in HYSA. And I am already investing 2K per month in VOO. After my living expenses I still have more money left which I’m keeping in my checking account.

Is it smart to invest all extra money in VOO or should I put it somewhere else?

In case of an emergency I already have the money in the HYSA so I don’t need an emergency fund.

(Numbers are approximated since I am not in the US. Also I don’t pay taxes).

AI use cases that gave you visibility.

I know this has been asked before but I feel that AI is evolving so quickly we need to ask this question every few weeks.

Basically I have been using AI for productivity/research/analysis… etc and it has helped me massively. But now my boss wants to show his boss how our team is ‘futuristic’ and up to date and how we use AI.

So I wanted to brainstorm with consultants here on what AI use cases have you done that senior leadership were aware of.

EDIT:
\- Yes this is about me being visible and getting credit, not about helping my company.
\- I work as internal consultant if that makes any difference.

Paying rent via bank transfer vs cheque.

I have been renting the same apartment for the past 4 years and I have always paid by 1 cheque. This year the landlord asked me to pay via bank transfer.

How do I do this in a safe way since the payment is big. And how do I get a receipt/proof that this payment is for my rent? Can someone walk me through the process? Or should I just insist on paying via cheque?

I can use AI in my work but like everywhere else the rule is not to input sensitive company data there. I want to use Claude/ChatGPT for analyzing sales data or to summarize documents and explain things inside.

The problem is, the time it takes me to go through all these documents/data files and changing company names and numbers is not worth it anymore. And its even worse when its excel files with numbers.

Am I missing something? Is there a simpler way that I should be using?

(We do not have a company AI agent integrated in our Microsoft tools).
