Need a better paying job to help get me out of poverty

Hi everyone so I’m 27F and I have an associates degree of mostly just core classes like English math history etc. I have worked as a teachers assistant in school for a long time and honestly I am burnt out and tired of constantly being sick and underpaid. I’m a type 1 diabetic so insurance is important as I live in America. I know many people say try entry level admin jobs and office assistant jobs etc but in my state of NJ they are extremely hard to come by and they want you to have atleast 3 years experience for example dental receptionists because they want you to use softwares like EHR or other dental management softwares, for office assistants they want you to know quickbooks and other softwares and that’s what’s really holding me back. I’ve never been tech savvy unfortunately but I can email and use google suite apps like slides, docs, and sheets. English has always been my strength and I am articulate, I even speak better than my lead teacher whose grammar is horrible. But unfortunately, an English degree isn’t really getting you a job much like a history or ba in psychology. I just want something where I’m not worn down and underpaid I wouldn’t mind getting a cert or a 2 year degree. As I’m type 1, nursing is out because I’m immunocompromised. I just want some business skills that’ll help me get a job because admin jobs keep turning me away. Can anyone help and give advice? I also have tried applying to government and state jobs for years to no avail. Thank you to everyone in advance.

Edit: also don’t drive so real estate is a no sadly

Family advocate position at preschool questions

Family advocate position

Hi everyone, so I recently interviewed for a family advocate position at a preschool and was told that there are about 10 support workers and you are usually in charge of 3 classrooms totaling 45 kids/families. The schools admin told me there are no home visits but sometimes school or park visits. They didn’t really go into what the position is really ABOUT, just that I’d be working with kids families and using excel and Google suite, and researching information for families. Can anyone explain what you actually do on a day to day basis in America as a family advocate at a preschool? I can’t accept a job without knowing if I’m comfortable with it. I have a background in teaching and co teaching preschool. Thanks everyone!

Could I be agoraphobic?

Hi all, I want to apologize if I’m not following any specific guideline on this sub I just want some help and answers as to why I could be feeling like this. As the years go on, starting around 2023 I’ve become what I believe to be agoraphobic. I’ve always had social anxiety and have been awkward in social situations and definitely am an introvert, but I’ve developed a fear of going outside and being forced to interact with people. If for example I’m in an empty space, like a really small town or a place with few people and it’s super open, I’m ok, but I cannot do big cities and I unfortunately live in one and its killing me. I want to move to a place where there aren’t many people. I don’t like taking public transport like buses and especially not trains. I hate crowds I get so overwhelmed if a place becomes crowded I run away and almost start crying. I need to call my mom to calm down and I’m 28 years old. I hate the hustle and bustle of people walking in the city to get to work, school, etc. I feel like people stare at me all the time and are judging my appearance and judging me in general.

I hate socializing with people who aren’t a select small group of friends and family. I have safe “spaces” where I feel okay but my ultimate safe sanctuary is my house. I don’t feel lonely and could honestly go my whole life without having to interact with people. I can elaborate more in the comments but this is the jist of my issue. Has anyone experienced anything similar and if so have you gotten help/better? I hate even having to go to necessary doctor’s appointments because I’m a diabetic due to having to interact with and be around people. Thank you to all of those who can help.

Job interview for prek3 lead teacher need advice

Hi everyone 👋 so I have an interview coming up for prek-3 lead teacher at a daycare/school and I have 3 years experience as an assistant. I actually would say I was the lead teacher my first year because my “lead” didn’t know how to use a computer her words not mine. I did tadpoles, photos, emailed admin and parents, wrote progress reports, used PowerSchool for attendance, and carried out lessons. The only thing I did not have access to was creative curriculum to read the lessons and prep for them. I think I’m good with children and the only thing that is scaring me is the classroom management aspect as some kids we’ve had have been rough like the type to hit, climb on top of tables, hide under tables, etc. I believe we may have had some students that had Audhd but the principal basically told us to just manage. I’m also scared of doing conferences with parents. Can anyone offer any advice? I don’t want to not have control of my classroom and get made to look like a fool cause in my last school if you did anything wrong you were harshly criticized. They are also only paying $36,000 a year based in nj. Thank you to everyone who replies. ❤️

Cis woman needing styling advice from women with broad shoulders

Hi everyone 👋 this is my first ever post in this community, and I apologize if anything that I may write comes off offensive to anyone first and foremost. 🙏 That is absolutely not my intention. I’m a cis woman seeking advice on styling broad shoulders and a broad back. I’ve been browsing this sub and have seen some of you ladies asking similar questions about styling broad upper bodies in order to feel more feminine and learn to love your bodies. ❤️ I too am trying to do this. I’ve had broad shoulders and a broad back my whole life and have never been able to dress like the majority of cis women who have narrow upper bodies in delicate types of clothing. I’ve actually never met anyone irl who has a similar body to myself. The only other person ever to have the exact same body type as me would be actress Chloe Grace Moretz. She’s also had a lot of people scrutinize her and bully her while making fun of her natural body, calling her masculine etc. it’s truly hard living in a world where pear shapes are seen as the norm. I hope it’s not too much to ask some of you kind ladies who do have broad shoulders and backs for some fashion advice and what types of clothes you like to wear? I usually wear wide leg light colored jeans and sweetheart neck and v neck tops. I never wear dresses I didn’t even wear a dress to my school gradations. Anyone who can help give me some advice, I would deeply appreciate it. ❤️ thanks again everyone

I lost my aunt 2 months ago, and desperately want to know if she is at peace

My aunt was like a second mother to me. She was the type of woman who would give the shirt off her back to strangers. She fed animals everywhere she went and made friends everywhere she went. She was outspoken and authentically herself. 💗 She passed at 59 years old and had 3 (breast, cervical, and ampullary)cancers. One cancer she had catapulted the others, it was extremely aggressive and something she inherited from her father who also passed at 59 from the same cancer. My aunt and I had many ups and downs in our relationship but before she died I held her hand, told her I loved her and that I was sorry for all our fights, and told her I’d name my future daughter after her.

My uncle and I prayed over her bedside daily a month before she passed. It pains me so much to see how thin she got before she passed, how much she struggled with loss of appetite and constantly in pain. ): Our family unfortunately isn’t tight knit and sort of dislike each other, needless to say there wasn’t much love in our family. My uncle and I have been taking it the hardest especially my uncle. I just need to know if anyone can read anything from her photos if she is at peace and with her mother and sisters who departed before her? If she has any message for myself or her partner of over 40 years? Thank you to everyone in advance. This would mean the world to me. 💗

Husband needs a sponsor to change his visa from scholar to permanent resident. I don’t qualify as his sponsor. Please help

Location: New Jersey, America

Hi everyone, so I’m posting from America and this is my first time posting so I apologize if I’m not knowledge on all terms and questions here so I’ll do my best to explain. My husband and I have been married almost 3 years and he’s trying to become a permit resident, however I don’t make enough to sponsor him. I know we can ask a joint sponsor who is a family or friend but my mother will refuse to do this because she’s been brainwashed by her family that my husband will only use me for a green card and leave, or she’ll be responsible for him. My husband is an engineer and extremely intelligent but due to these circumstances he can’t apply for engineering jobs because he’s only on a scholar visa and needs that to change. He works, but he only makes 45,000. I would have to take on a second job or find a higher paying job to sponsor him but this would push back the whole process to another year until I can file my taxes again next February. Does anyone have any help or suggestions for this? Thank you and I apologize again for any uncertainty and unclarity.

Need advice on what to do about getting a sponsor for my husbands Pr, I don’t qualify

My husband and I have been married almost 3 years and he’s trying to become a permit resident, however I don’t make enough to sponsor him. I know we can ask a joint sponsor who is a family or friend but my mother will refuse to do this because of personal reasons and my families intervention or she’ll be responsible for him which really will not be.
