My fourth long form channel and the one i least took seriously - and by that i mean seriously putting in endless and pointless working hours into each video. I had three objectives: 1. I should have fun 2. Whoever watches and might not be into me and the content also could have fun. 3. I picked a niche this time and „niched it” further down.
So it looks like since late April on a fresh channel i was able to produce 11 videos where by mid July i was in the YPP and today i hit 1k subs too. And yes its faceless, voiceover only gaming, so you can still do that in 2026. And i have horrible accent in english and full of grammar errors.

Disclaimer in not a pro, dont take my advice fully. This channel very well could stop growing at one point, there are millions of partnered channels not not bringing in full time revenue. So yeah the YPP is indeed the top 10% of creators but clearly doesnt mean its a gold mine and you may forget about your job and kick back.

Sometimes it is just the question of time and patience. So hang in there.

So pretty sure this is one of the mods /or maybe a LOD issue, im just not sure how to turn it off completely, but the pit crew does not dissappear for all cars once the race starts and the crew is around the cars during race too.

Any idea where to turn this off completely?

So i dont get it, i only installed graphical patches but since yesterday my joypad controls when i get to the race (only then) they simply dont work or i dont know. I can steer the wheel, shift gears, rev the engine but the tyres wont turn, and im in 6th gear already. I have to go to the pit where the controls then dont respond to anything at all, then i have to spawn in the pit again, and again and about the 3rd time i can controll the car fully, then i can restart the session and the car works on the grid too.

Any idea what is going on?

I feel like im too fast even with the slowest car on the grid, can this be changed? Or the logic behind the restrictor is the player is the baseline the AI restrictor is applied to, and so player has to be 0? And umm same for the ballast? I cant really see the ballast ingame if its applied or not, but i can see no matter what i set for the restrictor during race, practices it is 0% for me.

Sorry but i have no idea on how to do this, there is no guide and the mod creator not logged in for 5 years.

Hey guys just got partnered basically out of nowhere on a fresh channel with 9 videos after like 8 weeks. Applied yesterday and im already accepted a day later in the YPP. Adsense created, tax forms submitted, waiting for approval on that, no issue there. Created a two tier membership where i dont try to be greedy and give back value too. I will manage all the financial questions later when money starts to come into YT so no issue on that. I wont even be bothered about getting it onto my bank account until i got a consistent income that could cover all the local mandatory entrepreneurship fees in my country + the accountant.

However i found this question on this sub (in the title) but it was asked 3 years ago. So maybe i thought the answers might be different in 2026. :) So fire away!

So for this reason here is my youtube story, because i just have a fresh channel, and im just over 4K watch hours, in process of reviewing my Youtube Partner Program application, original content, gaming on top, after 2.5 months...and honestly im doing less "quality" work than ever. But we will get to that too.

Here is my youtube story so far.

• 2023 - First Channel: I have created a retro gaming channel reviewing old games, creating game lists etc. This channel is currently at 958 subs but i dont see any recurring comments, crowds, discussion under my about 50-60 vids, i even held back on posting due to burn out in the past 10 months. This channel is really struggling to have a dedicated audiance and so the watchtime and the consistent views too. But i think my third channel resolved unintentionally the missing key elements of this one.
• 2025 - Second Channel: I wanted to play some modern horror games, and i was like whenever i play i will just do voiceover and upload it, maybe do slight editing to cut out loading screens and many retries. Just you know might as well give YT a chance if im playing. Now i was heavily inconsistent on the uploads here, subs are under 100 still and the views just in the hundreds at best but the watchtime skyrocketed due to the 1-2 hour video format easily. I have like 20-30 vids here with zero effor talmost and i have 2500 watch hours. Again i think my third channel resolved unintentionally the missing key elements here.
• 2026 April 19th - Third Channel: So i was not thinking too much into it but i created a third channel. Again a gaming one, but a single gaming genre again, and its even more niche than my second channel. As for the editing process im meeting in the middle just due to timing. I play the games for about an hour or two, then try to edit the highlights to keep 20 mins. After my third upload i had to skip a month due to personal matters but my second video started to get some traction and views after 3 weeks. Someone left an interesting comment saying "they love the idea and if you'd inject some comedy this channel would blow up". So i was like okay, thats like 30 mins of extra editing at worst (just adding a couple of memes bc im not funny), why not at least these handful of new viewers would enjoy this content a bit more. Low and behold the fourth video (June 9) is on 18K and the fith one (June 19) is on 21K, and even the vids i uploaded after and before those are getting traction. And who is watching? Exactly the target audiance, mainly 35-45 yrs old viewers who played these games or lived at the time and might be interested in them. Youtube just found them .... seemingly right away.

My main takeaway i did not put that much effort into this third channel at all, i even edit less than before, and the quality of my "work" from youtube creators point of view is even less. My guess might by why this channel is successful...but please do give your insight because im no expert and im just guessing here...that its simply because its VERY niche and just provides some nostalgic entertainment for these viewers when they just want to turn on YT and chill. Thats about it. The channel is at 734 subs currently with 4K watchhours after 7 vids, with the first one uploaded on April 19th (and reminder i have not uploaded anything in May).

And look i get it. This channel is not at 100K nor im receiving thausands of dollars from adsense, but this channel will be monetized if i keep uploading, its now an inevitable snowball effect. The question how successfull will it be financially is all up in the air of course. But just to show some light at the end of the tunnel for anyone who is feeling nothing is working, this was my experience with some factual data too. So i hope you can take away something here.
