I swear some Sims are so iconic you could recognize them at literally any age.
And no cheating by looking for spoilers on my channel.
It’s called San Oddity, and somehow this strange little world I created years ago has passed 2,000 downloads.
Your lovely comments pulled me back in. I’ve made an interactive map and refreshed some household stories to help new players choose whose life to ruin first.
I made the town. I cannot defend its residents.
Pool. Pink car. Cow-print apron. Yellow gloves. A stunning life.
Then I moved Joy Despret in.
Juno looked straight into the camera.

I built an entire Sims 3 town because apparently one dysfunctional household wasn’t enough
Meet San Oddity: a desert town founded by aliens, with 44 Sims across 21 households, all with their own biographies, relationships, skills and careers already set up.
Five aliens. Two vampires. Some suspiciously familiar family names.
No CC or Store content required. The houses come fully furnished. So does the emotional baggage.

They cover things like automating daily routines, finding singles, sending kids to daycare, taking out loans, earning extra money, and stopping everything in your house from constantly breaking.
I tried to keep them useful without changing the core feel of the game.
And the Household Editor mod has a small extra involving the Patel family. 👀
If anyone tries them, I’d be interested to know which one ends up being the most useful.
The Sims is the only place where you can open a plastic surgery clinic with zero qualifications and let a dice roll decide someone’s new face 😭... She came in for free surgery. She left looking like she knows what I did.

I made a loan mod for Paralives and, despite literally knowing the rules because I wrote them, seeing “50% interest back” still hurt more than expected 😂 Apparently I’m either terrible with finances… or the bank really does always win. Even when you ARE the bank.
After disappearing from YouTube for years, it seems Sims 3 YouTuber NickNut isn’t dead after all. For anyone who remembers him or discovered San Oddity through Juno Birch’s retweet ... the original episodes are gradually coming back online, and the world is available to download again through the link in the video description.
Criminal clowns, reckless vampires and deeply dysfunctional families: this strange little piece of Sims 3 history has survived.
