Hey all fairly new round here. looking for anyone who has a handguard for the sa80 ugl either for sale or thst I could make a copy from. uk only

I'm making an airsoft loadout and wanted to make my airsoft sa80 into the varient with a ugl. I know the ugl was a m320 launcher so I have managed to get a airsoft version of that but I'm really struggling to find the hand guard/rail it mounts to that mounts to the sa80. there was a airsoft replica made a few years back but they are near impossible to find now.

I would love to own a real issused one or even find someone based in the uk that would let me take a mould of theirs so I can recreate one in polyurethane.

I can't seem to find one in surplus stores anywhere which is odd to me as I can find a1/a2 guards and the Daniel defence rails too. it may be that they are still in service though I believe that most have now adopted the a3 varient which allows the m320 launcher to bolt right to it.

I obviously don't need the ugl bolted to it just the polymer mount/guard it's self.

any help/ leads would be extremely helpful.

thanks in advance

Best way to make a mould of this hand grip.

hey all fairly new round here. I'm looking at making a copy of this handguard for airsoft (like paintball ) purposes.( not a real rifle but a toy ) would it be best to make a 2 part silicone mould by first filling the cavity with clay and casting with the oval opening part on the right facing down and then remove the clay and take a second casting. or would a 3 part be better again starting by filling in the cavity with clay and then casting the left side first then the right then the internals. Once the mould is made I want to cast using a polyurethane so the part will be fairly firm. and if possible make multiple parts.

note this isn't the exact part I a want but the design is similar just the part I want is rare and I have only managed to find one person with an original hence wanting to take a cast of it.

Thanks in advance

Envelope received in post in a clear royal mail bag.

Hey all. I recently purchased something through ebay and the packaging for the item arrived a few days ago in a clear plastic bag. it was posted through the letter box though the postie did knock I just didn't hear it as I have been ill and was asleep at the time of delivery. I know he knocked as we have a ring doorbell and he wasn't too sure why the envelope was in the bag. there was no note from royal mail just an envelope with tares at the bottom which susgest the item I purchased either ripped the paper envelope and fell out on its journey to me or somone has tampered with the packaging en route.

I haven't reported the issue to ebay yet as I do want to give royal mail a chance to find it If at all possible. I just wasn't too sure where to start as it seems odd no note from royal mail saying sorry we lost your item. I have spoke to the seller and they too are contacting the post office that they shipped from. should I try contacting my local sorting office. or anywhere else? it was a tracked parcel too and I have full tracking showing the delivery offices it went through. and a picture of the bag with the envelope in.

I've seen online before that rm put a note with a damaged pacage so was unsure why I'd not been given any contact details yet they put it in a bag.

any advice ?

Cheers in advance.

may be a stupid question but what size socket remover for 18mm bolt.

I was changing over my suspension on my car today and noticed the previous owner has left me a lovely 18mm rounded bolt head. the 18mm nut on the other end turns but the whole bolt turns with it and it's not wanting to come undone. I've used 18mm spanners, sockets and a set of vice grips that just can't get a grip on it. it's not completely rounded but can't seem to get it off. I've sprayed plenty of wd40 on it and used heat on the nut. I wasn't sure if I need 18mm socket remover or 17.5mm socket remover. i wasn't sure if you size down by half or use the same size never had to purchase or use one before. also didn't want to end up purchasing two kits as the majority of bolt remover kits I have found for next day collection here in the uk (near me) only have up to 17.5mm in stock.

cheers in advance sorry if it's a stupid question

new here might be the wrong place to post this.🇬🇧🇬🇧

UK based 🇬🇧 hey all I'm in the process of designing a scratch built square drop trailer. I had originally wanted to buy an existing trailer chassis and then build off that but as I can't seem to find a chassis that meets my needs and that is in my price range I have decided I want to build one from scratch.

I know that I will need the IVA test once built. I plan on making it from 50mm box mild steel 3mm thick. I plan on using a braked alko axle with a Alko hitch. I need it to be as light as possible but also wanted it braked as my limit on un braked is 400kg so braked will give me double that. and will also allow me to carry more weight should I upgrade my tow car in the future.

is there anything that I need to follow when building the chassis and if I need any other testing other than the Iva.

cheers in advance

Thinking of building my own Square Drop/ teardrop trailer

Having recently slept in the back of my small car whilst traveling through scotland i have realised i need something more suited for the job. so I'm planning on building a trailer but not sure where to start. Im UK based and would rather start a build from scratch but use a second hand trailer chassis as the base. My car can only tow up to 800kg on a braked axle. im 6ft2 and a large guy so would need as much space as possible. What size frame or chassis should i be looking at idealy. i have a welder so could make adaptations to the chassis but i dont want to make a chassis from scratch as i believe i would then need to take it to get tested here in the uk but i might have to do that anyway im not really sure. anyone can offer assistance or advise it would be greatly appreciated.

My family and I want to create a food businesses but have some questions.

Hey all new round here and would be more than greatfully for any tips or advice.

So my parents and I want to create a Ltd company that makes and sells baked goods ie cake bread and pastries along with chocolate. I myself am a chef so know all food hygine and eho regulations but never run or started a business before and neither have my parents.

for context I'm in my late 20s and my parents are in their mid 60s

I'm currently living with my parents however I am looking at moving out and renting my own place. we have always had the dream to start our own bakery or tea room ever since I took a liking to baking. so I did the right thing and studied at catering college and specalised in patisserie in my final year.

having worked in the industry since I was 15 I have learnt alot and now want to put my own products on the market to be sold at farmers markets abd sold to local coffee shops and cafes.

my issues is I want my parents to be the main owners of the business as although I know what I'm doing in the kitchen I have no idea how to run a business and believe that once I'm up and running and have built a customer base that I could then start to focus more on the running of the business side and take over as main director. but for insurance reasons and money reasons I want my parents as sole directors/owners of the business. (I don't have siblings so should the worse ever come in the future I would I inherit the business myself)

my question is if my parents were to register the business under the name (sweet treats and bakes ltd) for example could they then employee me (as a sole trader) to make the goods from my own flat kitchen if its been singed off by food hygine and registered with the local council. and if soo would I have to register the kitchen under thier business name or my own self employed /sole trader name. I know that I can run a food business from home if registered and approved by the local council food hygiene but as I would be working for someone as a self employed person.

the idea being that I produce all the food myself but it's sold under my parents company. I know it's long winded and I could just have the business in my name but I am in no perdition to be listed as a owner or director and I would rather them have the main say and control the money side of things.

Thanks in advice and if any questions need to be asked ask away and I'll try to answer best I can.

also I already own all the equipment and tools I would need to run the kitchen so wouldn't be relying on my parents Ltd company to provide them just the ingredients.

low hot water pressure downstairs kitchen tap

hey all I have had issues with the hot water pressure in the kitchen. hot water tank is upstairs (two story semi-detached house. I have really low pressure in the kitchen but it's much faster upstairs. I have changed the tap unit and had no luck either. I have tried to see if there is air in the system by placing my thumb over the tap and turning hot water on to back flow again no luck. as I say the shower pressure and the taps upstairs are fine no pressure issuses I don't have a shower pump either.

we don't have a combi boiler and don't particularly want to up grade to one either.

I'm looking at replacing the bath with a enclosed shower later this year and I'm just looking at what else I should include in my budget.

also to note I have check the valves to make sure their open between the tap and the boiler and all seem to be fully open.

Any recommendations or advice or tips to try would be greatly appreciated the water does come through hot eventually but think that it takes longer to come through hot as the pressure is soo low.

Thanks in advance
