Are there any YouTuber channels that have step by step drills to learn free style ?

I see a lot of drills online but I want to find something that’s step by step so I can test myself doing each so I know what I need to practice. I’m taking private lessons but my swim instructor is unreachable due to some personal issues so in the meanwhile I want to practice on my own. So far she taught the basics and how to swim freestyle, I’m trying to swim freestyle but breathing is where I need some practice. I find it hard to bring myself up in the air and breathe.

Any hacks to save the expiring $300 travel credits ?

I usually use up my travel credits every year but the past year has been a little rough some travel plans got cancelled and my $300 credit expires soon.
Are there any good ways to save this for a little longer?
I know you can just book a hotel in your city and use them up but I want to try to use them in a better way. I usually travel quite a bit but just unable to plan a trip right now due to my circumstances.
Any suggestions would help, thank you!

Adult swim lessons - private/group ?

I’m in my late 20s and planning to start swim lessons. I am a beginner with 0 skills so far. I’m deciding between private lessons and group lessons. The challenge is that adult group classes are rare and fill up quickly and require registration 1–3 months in advance. The earliest beginner classes are in September, with another session in November. I also found a private instructor who charges $35 for 30 minutes at my community pool.
Since I have to register before knowing how quickly I’ll progress, should I enroll in beginner classes for both September and November? There are also two beginner sessions in September (weekday and weekend). If I take both (about 10 classes total), is it realistic to move to Level 2 by November? Or would it be better to invest in private lessons instead?

I’m attaching the descriptions of both the beginner classes available in September let me know if this is good or should I go with a private instructor or do both. Thank you.

Beginner level 1 : confidence in water, floating, breathing, forward movement.

Another beginner level 1 : teaching beginning swimming skills, trust and submersion, body position and air recovery which are white and red levels of starfish swim school.

Book direct or through vacationstogo?

My booking costs pretty much the same through both v2g and rc website but v2g is offering a $100 OBC. This is our first cruise, just doing basic interior room and our booking came to $1200 on I’m not expecting any crazy deals on this. So is the $100 OBC worth booking through V2G or better book direct ?

Modest swim wear

I’m looking for modest swimwear but it’s so hard to find a middle ground. I don’t want a full sleeve head to toe covered up swim suits but I also don’t want swim dresses that barely do under by butt. Are there any swimwear brands that make swim wear that’s above knee length without long sleeves ? I tried to create a reference picture using chat gpt.

Planning our first cruise would love inputs.

So I’m planning our first cruise family of 4 (parents in 50’s and kids in 20’s). I’ve been reading a lot on this sub but the more I read the more indecisive I become so hoping this post helps us. Based in South East so most probably will depart from Florida or Virginia.

Our requirements:
We don’t care about alcohol, partying, luxury feel or what the itinerary is we are open to all routes.

We care about good food, basic cleanliness and maintenance, enough activities to do or explore that are also fun, best value for money, at-least 4 nights long.

One concern I have is since this is our first time on sea not sure how we’d react. Is it better to pick a bigger ship ? Or do bigger ships come with more crowd & it’s not worth it?

If you recently had a good experience on any specific cruise line out of south east please share.

How to plan our first cruise ?

So as the title says never been on a cruise before but planning one for my parents who are in their 50s as they really want to go on a cruise. I have absolutely no idea what to consider before booking a cruise. We are based in North Carolina. Not interested in partying focused cruises that’s all I know. Please share you tips.

Any history nerds?

I was always interested in history but never really had a chance to read much but recently this book & wanted to see if there’s any book club focused on history or geopolitics. Or anyone looking for some company to discuss about this book.

Last night my friends made a sudden plan to grab dinner after work and insisted I join I wasn't really interested in eating out but I joined upon their request. By the time I was there they already ordered their food and started eating I had a little bit of the appetizer left that was ordered by them and they started having their main course which they both were sharing. The portion size at this place was huge so I was sure I wouldn't even eat 1/3 of the main course I order and was not even hungry right after work as that's not my usual dinner time. I told them earlier that I'm not that hungry and they said it's fine we will just order little and share so we'll be good. But they were both not sharing the main course with me I told them I'll just order something to-go & eat later when I get home & share it with my brother & paid for this item on a separate check. I offered to pay my part for what I ate but then they made split for their entire bill. So I paid a 3rd part of all the drinks, appetizers & main course they ordered. I usually struggle to say no or argue about stuff like this, I just paid but I've been not feeling good about it at all. I feel so stupid, I hate myself for not speaking. I have several times paid for my friends food, cooked food for them etc etc. It's not even about the money, it's about how it's unfair. I ate like 3-4 bites of an appetizer and how can they be like you have to pay 1/3 while I already paid for my main course separately. I haven't said anything to them but it's been reeling in my mind, I am having some kind of anxiety, frustration which I've not had before for such a small matter. I have been procastinating stuff and I'm stuck there. The whole fact that I didn't even wanna go but went to please others & came back paying for all the food I didn't eat is making me feel stupid. I am sharing this because it's been over 24 hours but I'm not able to get over it, there's an internal war going on in my head and I'm stressing out. Is this relatable to anyone? What can I do to calm myself down? I feel like I have had similar situations before but nothing affected me this long so I'm concerned for myself. I've been trying to take deep breaths, meditate but nothing is really calming me down internally. Any validation/advice is appreciated!
