Is kepra ruining me?

I feel like I was better off without it. I've been so depressed. I got fired from my job for having a seizure at work. After that I went on 500mg twice a day and got really depressed and tired. I've talked to my neurologist and she said as long as I'm not have seizures that's the most important thing. Now I have no job, no disability and have lost my girlfriend because she couldn't handle my depression. I don't know what to do anymore

What is your favorite glaze or sauce for meats?

I'm sure many people will be grilling soon. I'll be grilling, baking and slow cooking. My new glaze I've been using is with maple syrup, coca cola and star anise. I usually simmer that for a bit and use it for pork.

With beef I make a steak sauce by blanching campari tomatoes and mixing in a bunch of fresh garlic, olive oil and parsley, sometimes a little basil. Let it chill in the fridge and take it out when the steak is hot, served with a little pasta.

Chicken and fish I usually do very simple olive oil, lemon and fresh herbs. If I have time I'll do a more creamy sauce.

I'm curious about your sauce game! Have you tried anything great lately?

Women with really long nails?

I recently went on a blind date with a girl that had super long, painted finger nails. I don't know if they were fake or not, either way it was a really big turnoff for me. I was very polite and ended the date after dinner. Afterwards I talked to my other guy friends and all of them said they're not into it either. Well manicured is one thing but giant claws are another, plus It's a red flag that she might be high maintenance, and not willing to work.

I guess my question is do other guys like this? I'd love to hear a women's perspective on the matter.

Sorry I didn't mean to insuate that they couldn't work. I meant more along the lines of gardening, helping me move something, go camping, go kayaking, that kind of work. I'm clueless to how someone gets things done with those things attached.

Have a truck? Want to go kayaking?

I'm (40m) looking for someone to go kayaking with, I used to strap them to my subaru but I don't have a rack so it's a bit of a pain. If you have a truck, I have two hardshells and one inflatable two person kayak so you can bring some friends too. I know a bunch of great spots to go as I used to teach kids kayaking. I'll pitch in for food, gas, beer whatever. I have a couple dry bags too for any gear. Let me know if you're interested!

Anyone know a good barter or trade service or website?

I'm specifically looking for someone to fix the roof on my shop/small shed and clean up the yard. I'd be willing to give full room and board for a short term rental, maybe 3 months max. This person would need to be licensed and bonded, provide references and meet first to make sure we get along.

I think minor repairs and expenses should be provided by the tenant but any major materials I can cover. This would be something we would talk about.

Free pork fat

A friend of mine raises pigs and gave me a bunch of pork fat. I really don't have the room in my freezer nor the time to render it into lard.

It's frozen now but had to move it to the refrigerator. If anyone wants to come grab it I'm in NE Portland Cully neighborhood.

Wow sunset!

I've never seen a sunset like this without there being a forest fire nearby. Absolutely gorgeous colors on the Oregon coast. I thought the green flash was a myth until I saw it for myself.

Taken a few days ago in between Waldport and Florence.

What is the right way to pronounce fascia?

When I talk to people in the medical industry it's always "fashia". When I talk to people in the construction industry it's always "face-ia". Can someone please enlighten me? Are both correct?

Help me find this foodcart?

I loved this place when they were in the Sandy foodcarts, Rose City Food Park. I''d never had russian dumplings before but they hooked me up. Way better than Kachka or Pelmeni Pelmeni. I think it was a mother and daughter that ran it. They made the best dumplings and other stuff too. I'm posting this in hopes they may still be around?

Speakers and amps

These are in pretty good shape for being a bit older. They still sound good and get loud, one of the speakers has a loose 1/4 input but that's pretty easy to fix. Everything else is in good condition, a bit dusty.

Please be ready to take everything at once.

I'd love this to go to a new band or group starting up. If there is a lot of interest I'll start a raffle and pick at random.

Edit: OK so there will be a raffle but I'm not going to bother entering you into it if you just say "interested"

I want this to go to someone who can use it, not just resell it.

Giannis trade rumors?

I've been hearing rumors of getting Giannis on the Blazers. I watched him and Dame on the Bucks and they didn't seem to have much chemistry. Maybe Deni can facilitate that? I dunno it seems like a bad decision to me, but I would love to be proven wrong.

What are these flying orange balls?

I can't find any tower that spawns them, they appear like 4 at a time, are fast and magic resistant. They pretty much destroy me in the first round if I don't set up multiple archers. Which then leaves the ground troops to go right past the archers.

Edit: to clarify this is in kingdom rush battles app

I'm a 40 year old male that rents rooms out to my old long time friends. It's been hard to explain that situation to women I'm dating.

I can't really afford the upkeep of the house (1920 era) even with a few roomates. My career has been replaced by AI so I'm now at the point of taking any job I can get.

It's a pretty sweet house, 5 bed, 4 bath. Great backyard, so it would be sad to see it go. The upkeep is brutal though. Help me make up this midlife crisis thing?
