passive income isn’t for poor people, and i’m tired of watching this sub pretend otherwise

here’s the truth nobody on this sub wants to hear :
passive income isn’t a starting point. it’s what’s left over after you’ve already built something. you need money, or you need skills that are actually worth something to someone else. if you have neither, you don’t need a passive income strategy, you need a job.

i’ll give you my actual timeline so people stop imagining this stuff appears out of nowhere:

did a master’s in engineering. worked in restaurants and as a courier because bills don’t care about your degree. did customer service for a while, actually learned how businesses run day to day, not from youtube, from being inside one. eventually got too good at answering the phone I got into Google. took everything i’d learned and picked up along the way and started my own company. that company now makes me about $2,000/month passively.

notice what’s missing from that list: sitting at home with a laptop expecting money to fall out of the sky because i watched a “passive income for beginners” video.

if you’re 20 with no capital and no skills, that’s fine, everyone starts somewhere, but the move is to go get skills or get a degree or get any job that teaches you something, not to hunt for the secret shortcut that skips a decade of work.
passive income is the reward at the end. it is not the plan.

Non-Zionist Jews: What kind of future do you actually want?

Hello brothers and sisters,

I’m Palestinian, and I’ve often felt that Palestinians and non-Zionist Jews have something in common: we’re both communities whose voices are frequently spoken over when decisions are made about our lives.

Whenever there’s a new conflict, political initiative, or negotiation, it can feel like powerful governments and organizations make plans for us rather than meaningfully including us. For Palestinians, the consequences have been devastating, and our lives have continued to get worse despite decades of people supposedly negotiating on our behalf.

At the same time, I’ve noticed that as more people have become sympathetic to the Palestinian cause, there can also be consequences for Jews who oppose Zionism. Antisemitism is still very real, and some people unfortunately seem unable or unwilling to distinguish between Jews, Israelis, and the Israeli government. I imagine that this can put additional pressure or even danger on some of you.

So I wanted to ask something genuinely, rather than make assumptions:

What do you actually want?

What would your ideal future look like for yourself, your families, and your community? How do you envision Palestinians and Jews living together—or separately, if that’s what you believe is best? What kind of political arrangement, rights, security, and relationship between the two peoples would you consider just?

I’m not asking this to debate or tell you what you should want. I’m genuinely interested in hearing from non-Zionist Jews themselves, especially because so much of the conversation seems to be dominated by people speaking about Jews and Palestinians rather than listening to them.

I’d really appreciate hearing your perspectives, including disagreements with each other.

TL;DR: I’m Palestinian and curious what non-Zionist Jews themselves envision as an ideal future. What kind of political arrangement, rights, security, and life do you want for Jews and Palestinians, and what would a genuinely just outcome look like to you?

Looking for a long-lost Transformice friend from 7 years ago — Cupidhalo#0000. Are you out there?

This is a long shot, but I’ve been trying to find a dear friend I used to play with for years, and I’m running out of ideas.

We used to play Transformice together constantly, and we'd always chat outside the game on Kik (that old green messaging app). Their username was Cupidhalo#0000, they registered in 2015, and they wore the title "The Reaper." My username was Toyomslam#0000 then changed to Toyo#0668.

We lost touch about 7 years ago, and I can see they haven't logged into the game in about 2 years.
During this period I’ve sent messages on the Atelier801 forums almost every year hoping they’d log in and see them, but no luck.
I remember their real first name, their country, and their age, but I have absolutely no way of reaching them.

You were a truly great friend to me, and I just want to catch up and see how life has been treating you.

If anyone recognizes this username, or if you ARE Cupidhalo—please send me a DM. It would mean the world to me to reconnect.

Thank you for reading and please share or give me tips how can I find them.

Seeking Advice : Control algorithms

Hi everyone

I’m starting soon my Master’s thesis focused on developing advanced real-time control algorithms for a quadcopter. The thing is im new to the drones world as I previously did my engineering thesis on real-time engine diagnostics using STM32mp157dk-f2, but in a simulated environment.

My professor expects me to test my algorithm in real life scenarios and he proposed that I either build it myself (preferred) or buy one.

My question is where do I start if I decided to build one? I found tones of projects and DIY but im not sure which one can help me achieve my goal. and if its not worth it to build , what models do you recommend I buy?

Thanks in advance !
